So

Long story short

I have writer's block

And so I'm just gonna go off of this Weirdtober thing that I found on Pinterest. (If anyone can find the original poster of this please tell me, you know how Pinterest is with re-posting)
(Ignore that it's also an inktober which I looked it up and I guess its a drawing challenge or something but I chose to write instead)

It might be an Au where things are drastically different. It could be a normal day in Rainbow Quest.

Who knows

It could just be very random.

So, enjoy me making your eyes bleed

I know mine did when I read number 31 (I am not doing that AT ALL)

Enjoy :D

============================================================

Rainbow stood on top of the rainbow statue looking at the horizon. At this point he had been the hero for about a couple of weeks. Already he's been kidnapped, had to lie to his friends, and has had barely any sleep.

Being the hero was supposed to be good.

...

Then why did it suck so much?

The constant feeling of being responsible, it was just all too much for Orange. But that was just a selfish way of thinking. He was the hero now; he needs to take responsibility.

Orange watched as the sky grew darker. This was one of the time's he'd be able to just take time to himself, even though he knew what was going to happen tomorrow... More hero things, whatever they may be.

"Hello Orange-"

Rainbow quickly turned to face the voice, expecting the worst.

It was an Orange steve in bee themed overalls, a crown on his head, but his color was a bit desaturated.

"Who on earth-" Rainbow tried standing up to face the steve. "Calm down there buddy, I'm not going to hurt you... I'm the Orange crystal-" The steve explained, holding his hands up slightly to show he meant no harm. Rainbow's ears perked. "Orange crystal???"

The steve sat down on the edge of the statue near where Rainbow had been sitting. Rainbow sat down beside him. "I'm surprised i'm able to do this, to manifest a- a- projection? a projection in this world." He stated, looking at his hand.

"What was that thing about being the Orange crystal?" Rainbow asked, the steve gave him a warm smile that made Rainbow feel the some of the blurriness go away. "Yep, back in my time I was the Orange King, the most powerful Orange Steve. When it came time the world needed a hero, me and the others at the time became the crystals- with the exception of Indigo." The Orange crystal explained. Rainbow just looked at him.

"This means- I'm a chip off of you???" Rainbow asked. The Orange crystal smiled, patting Rainbow's hair, it felt real but since he was a projection he didn't actually make contact. "Yep, and I'm so proud of you- And how far you've come." The Orange crystal praised. "How- How are you even here in front of me-" Rainbow asked.

"Well, I'm not- Since you became the hero, we're together, and due to our connection, I can project an image into your head of me. No one else can see me though- but that's not really important." The Orange crystal explained. "We see everything, through your eyes- Through all of the hero's eyes- Which is one of the reasons I'm here actually- But first,"

"Tell me what's on your mind." He smiled. Rainbow faced the darkened sky. "I- I don't think I'm cut out to be the hero if I'm honest. Up until now all I was in charge of were pigs- and some of them can handle being on their own- I just- Now that I'm in charge of saving all the steves, I feel like I'm going to mess up and everyone's going to be mad at me."
