002 - Jacksonville High
The day after moving to shitty Jacksonville, I was now here, in Jacksonville High–my new personal hell for the next school year. A boy had shoved me into the lockers as apparently now hallways are used for fighting.
I had found my new locker and gotten my information when someone showed up at my locker. I turned to the person and a relieved smile found my lips.
"Francesca! You go here too?" I ask her, she smiles and nods, a girl comes up next to her and slings her arm over her shoulder, looking out behind her.
"Nick, this is Celina. Cel, this is the badass girl I told you about" Francesca said and nudged her elbow into the girls side to get her attention.
"Oh hi!" She half screamed out with excitement before hugging me. I was surprised by her friendliness, also shocked by how strong she was.
"Hi, can you guys help me to my next class? I think it's...english?" I asked the two as I glanced at my schedule. "Of course, we have English as well," Francesca said and Celina cheered.
The two led the way and informed me of how things worked here. Apparently people were divided in groups, it was the classic teen movie situation. Though Francesca insisted that people were nice to each other even so.
When we walked into the next classroom, not many people were there. So, Francesca, Celina and I squeezed in on the same line of chairs and desks. Francesca shot me a comforting look and I returned with a nervous smile.
Each class had me a nervous wreck, I kept having to remind myself that no one knew me here, no one knew what my family name meant. I was starting over.
"I meant to ask last night when you were at the gym, you seemed like a pro, are you some sort of athlete?" Francesca asked me as she leaned over towards me. "No, I just used to work out a lot," I lied. I didn't mean to start out by lying, but I was starting over.
"OH, that's why you're so fit–I swear, Cel, Nick here has the most insane sixpack–""--Excuse me! Has anyone seen Mitch or North?" A woman called out, interrupting Francesca's fangirling over my body.
"No, ma'am. I saw them in the gym this morning," a boy called out. The woman sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "I'm sure, my twin is on the way" He added, I raised a brow as I took him in. It was the guy from the gym, the one that had laughed when the blonde guy had shouted after Francesca.
"He's the nicer twin" Francesca muttered to me and snorted a little. "Twin?" I asked.
"Oh–yeah, they're the jackass group. They rule the entire school, the 'leader' is Mitch Warner, then North Cameron and then West Cameron over there; the twins and then Mitch' cousin Oliver Warner" Francesca explained, I glanced at West, the brunette twin.
Celina nodded her head to Francesca's words and I chuckled dryly before resuming my gaze at the teacher who looked ready to kill Mitch and North.
"Alright, let's get started–" The teacher called out, but was cut off when two guys entered the classroom. I raised a brow in boredom of their obvious douchebag arrogance.
"Mitch, North. Find your seats please" She said, she sounded like she was on the verge of a breakdown. "I'm sorry, we're late ma'am" North said, his blonde hair screaming for attention as everyone's eyes laid on him.
"As I was saying– we have a new student in the class, some might've noticed her already. Nicolina Martell, raise your hand please" The teacher said.
I clenched my jaw a little at the unwanted attention, I lazily raised a hand while Francesca and Celina straightened their backs as everyone turned to look our way. Even the jackass group as Francesca had named them.
