038 - Celebration

Flashes of the early night creeped into my head as I sipped my champagne. I let my eyes wander and Mitch was looking at me across the room, there were traces of my lipstick on his neck and he hadn't bothered to wash it off.

I thought back to the room, my head was pressed into the mattress as his hands gripped my hips and he licked a wet stripe over my pussy before slamming his cock back into me.

I had no doubt that we had been loud. I was a screaming mess, hell, he fucked my insides out. I was sore as hell, which was also partly the reason I just sat at my table along with the others instead of dancing.

And thanks to Mitch I was going commando, I wasn't about to dance in this dress and not wear underwear. He had simply destroyed me.

I looked away from Mitch and cleared my throat, Serena and Claire sat on each side of me. "Oh-by the way, there's this guy that asked about you," Claire said and squeezed my free hand to get my attention.

"Yeah?" I asked and took a bite of the food on my plate. "He's over there, his name is Andrew" She said and nodded his way towards the guy.

He was at the bar, chatting up other guys in expensive suits. I already knew from afar that he wasn't my type.

"I don't think he's my type, but thanks" I chuckled and squeezed her hand back. She cackled as she nodded her head to my words.

"It was worth a shot"

Marcus and Alex were in their own little bubble, happiness and light surrounding them as they danced, and had pictures taken with their daughter as well.

I got up and made my way towards Andrea and Jake, but a body blocked me from getting there. "Dance with me" Mitch said, he wasn't asking.

I could hear it in his voice, he wouldn't accept a no, so I nodded my head as he took my hand in his and pulled me out on the dancefloor.

It was a slow and gentle song, everyone moved slowly, so we did as well. I wrapped my arms loosely around his shoulders and leaned my head on his chest.

"I want to start over, I think we both had the time we needed. I need you in my life and I want you to be mine, can we make that work?" Mitch leaned down to say so only I would hear.

"I don't know.." I said and trailed off, I lifted my head to face him. "I fucked up, Lina. I didn't listen to you and I walked out, I gave up. But I'm not gonna make that mistake now, I'm here-I'm listening" Mitch said, his words were strong and fierce.

He meant every word, I wasn't in doubt that he did. If anything, his words warmed my heart, it gave me hope.

"I was there during your first trial, I hid in the back of the court in Chicago, I was there when you, Ward and your mom celebrated landing that big job. I was there when you made investments and bought your apartment. I just didn't have the courage to approach you during those moments, but I do now. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to fix us, to start over" Mitch ranted, he was breathless by the time he was finished and I was speechless.

"I want to be there, every step of the way. I want to be the one you come home to, to celebrate your win, I want to be the one you take your frustrations out on when struggling, I want to be your person, Lina. Give me a chance to make it right" He said, he clenched his eyes shut as he finished and awaited my response.

I stopped moving and I reached up to cup his face, he didn't look at me, like I'd hoped he would by my actions.

"Look at me, Mitch," I whispered to him. He slowly opened his eyes and pure pain was in them, his hand held onto mine as I continued to hold his face in my hands, he leaned into my hand as if savoring the moment he'd waited so long for.
