010 - Run
"WHY ARE WE RUNNING!?" Oliver shouted at me. "That bitch is fucking insane!" I shouted at him as I sprinted across another parking lot. "What's that got to do with me!?" Oliver panicked but nevertheless he followed suit as I ran.
"Get back here!" Melanie shouted. "Run goddamnit! My grandma is faster than you and she's in a wheelchair" I shouted at him.
"Fuck you!" Oliver shouted breathlessly.
So, when we got off from school, Francesca was right. Melanie was going to kill me, Melanie had attempted to attack me in the hall when I got my books.
Before she did, Oliver of course had to come and talk to me about Celina. Melanie and her four bitches came towards us, I had frozen on the spot and as I began to back up and slammed my locker shut, they began running.
Which led to Oliver running out of the school with me, he was screaming like a girl. We ran past Mitch' McLaren, but I couldn't see him anywhere. Fran and Cel were gone as well, only West was outside. Which didn't help much, so we kept running and the girls had followed.
"Turn left" I shouted to prepare Oliver, we turned and continued to run only then a dark blue McLaren pulled over on the street, Mitch honked as he pushed the back door open.
"Fucking hell" I cursed and jumped in with Oliver behind me. "What the fuck!?" Both Oliver and I shouted at each other as we turned to face each other.
Mitch took off and West was giggling in the passenger seat. "I'm gonna die, you're all gonna be my death, how do you feel about that, huh?" I snapped at them and dropped my head back on the headrest.
"Fuck, I've never run this fast" Oliver said as he was still catching his breath. I had calmed down but he was still panting like a dog.
"Mrs. Banks hates me, she wants me gone, I'm sure" I told West who looked back at me while still laughing. "I'm sure that's what she planned" West pretended to agree with me, but he was mocking me.
"Oh shut up, why did you have to sit at our fucking table. Argh! I don't have time or energy for this bullshit" I groaned.
Mitch looked into the rearview mirror and his eyes met mine. His eyes showed amusement, but of course, he didn't say anything, being a mute and all.
"Where is North? Oh wait, don't tell me. I don't wanna know" I said and cringed at the juicy memory Fran had given me, when she had told me about their Saturday together.
"He's with Fran and Cel" West said and shot me a smirk. "Ew" I grimaced and Oliver snorted. "Are we dropping you off at home?" West asked and I nodded my head.
"We're not gonna work on that project today, sorry" I told Mitch. He nodded and listened to the directions West gave him.
Five minutes later Mitch pulled up at my house. I sighed in relief and opened the door. "Thanks for the ride, see ya-or maybe not" I retorted, both West and Oliver snorted and I could've sworn I heard a chuckle come from Mitch.
"Bye, darling," West called out. I flipped him both of my middle fingers and hurried up the stairs to the house, I unlocked the door and heard the fancy McLaren engine roar as it took off down the road.
"Hi honey, who was that?" My mom asked me as soon as I walked in. "A friend, they just gave me a ride home" I said and shot her a smile.
"I'm glad you're making friends" My mom said, I smiled and kissed her cheek before grabbing an apple, I headed upstairs and got started on the shitty homework.
A few hours later, we ate dinner and I headed out after. I glanced at my phone and pulled my hood up, I had enough time to get to the gym.
I put my airpods in and walked calmly down the street to the gym. I smiled at Fran as she stood in the reception. "Hi, babes. Was it a good run earlier?" She teased.
"Fuck off, you bitches abandoned me. I got stuck with Oliver asking about Celina when Melanie and her pets came hauling down the hall" I retorted.
"The guys are here by the way, though they're leaving soon" Fran said and I nodded. "What are we gonna do tomorrow?" I ask her as she follows me to the changing room. I pull my hoodie off and put on an oversized shirt and my workout shorts.
"I don't know. I'm sure if you just keep away from Mitch as much as you can, it'll be fine" Fran insisted. "I hope so" I retorted and she giggled.
"So what were you and North doing? Huh?" I asked her and wiggled my brows. "We fucked" Another voice cut Fran off. I snorted as I saw North leaning against the lockers.
"Nice" I retorted to him. "You are aware that this is for women only, right?" I added. "Sure" He responded and rolled his eyes. "Are you ready to leave?" He asked Fran and nodded her way.
"Oh wow, leaving together? Spicy, it sounds like Melanie isn't only going to kill me tomorrow, but you too" I retorted and shot Fran a petty look from her teasing me.
"She's not gonna touch you guys, calm your shit" North retorted amused, Fran walked up to him and smacked his shoulder. "You know she attacked that girl who was interested in Oliver. The bitch is crazy" Fran disagreed.
"We'll figure it out, come on" North said and tugged her after him. I shot her a wink and she rolled her eyes at me, but the smile that creeped up on her face afterwards was cute.
I tied my shoes and went out in the gym, when I looked around I saw everyone had left except Mitch and a few other people I didn't know.
Mitch was moving around with the stick I had used, but his body wasn't in sync with the moves he tried to recreate after me.
I cleared my throat as I stood in front of the ring and he dropped the stick in surprise. He looked down at me and scratched the back of his head.
"Treadmill" I told him and he nodded before jumping out of the ring smoothly. "Thank you for saving my ass earlier, even though it was you who got me in trouble" I commented and got onto a treadmill.
Mitch shook his head and turned to me without turning his treadmill on, I began walking and I looked over at him. 'It wasn't my fault, she won't leave us alone' he signed.
I smiled a little and nodded. 'I am sorry, though' He added and gave me one of his small strained smiles. I returned it and pointed at the treadmill. He rolled his eyes playfully and got on, he started walking to warm up as well as me, and when I began to run, he followed.
He really wanted to practice his footwork and his offense more, so he had asked me to meet him here again. He also wanted to learn a bit more about martial arts. I could see it, but he didn't have the heart to admit it. After running for twenty minutes, we were warmed up and we went back to the ring.
This time I didn't hold back on him, the first ten rounds ended with him on his back. The remaining ones, he was starting to get a hang of what I had told him, his footwork improved and he changed tactics and didn't let his body give away his moves.
He ended up resisting my moves and had cornered me. I grinned as I caught my breath. "Good work" I said and praised him as he deserved.
He smiled back this time with a real smile. A warm fuzzy feeling filled my chest as he was unable to hide his smile.
'Again' He signed and his smile fell as he concentrated, I nodded and went back to the middle, I picked my stick back up and circled him.
We had made clear rules if he wanted my help, no slamming me into the mat. He didn't want to risk hurting my head either, so he easily agreed. We had mutual respect.
