It has been three days since the licencing exam, and Midoriya was back in class. Bakugo was still on house arrest for a day, and Naka was still missing.
"Time to take your seats, everyone." Aizawa stood in front of the class as the students rushed about. "Morning. Now that Midoriya is back, we'll go into more detail about what the work studies entail. Go ahead and come in. I'll have people who've experienced them firsthand explain."
The door slid open as the three students walked in.
"I suggest you listen carefully as they point out how work studies differ from internships. These three are third-years at UA. They rank at the very top of our student body. You may know them as the Big Three."
The class gasped in awe, staring between the three students. Uzu frowned, narrowing his eyes as he tried to remember exactly why these people were important.
"Get to it. Introduce yourselves briefly. Let's start with Amajiki."
The kid raised his head, staring at the students. They jolted back in fear at the pure intensity of the gaze. He stopped as he started to speak. "It's no good. You two go. I just can't. Even if I try to imagine them as potatoes, I can see their human bodies. I know that they're still people. No words are coming out. My mind's blank, and my mouth is dry." The kid shook violently, his voice trembling as he spoke quietly. "I can't say anything. I wanna go home." He turned around, staring at the wall as the class stared in shock.
Akiko chuckled to herself. "Relatable." She seemed to be the only one who related.
"Okay, so um. Are you really one of UA's top heroes?" Ojiro tilted his head as the kid continued to ignore him.
Instead, his friend spoke up. "Come on, Amajiki! You need to have the heart of a lion, not a kitten. You know, even though you're human. Get what I mean?" The girl turned to face the class. "This is our kitten, Tamaki Amajiki. And hi, my name is Nejire Hado. I'm supposed to talk about work studies. Your first years have a really exciting time ahead of you."
Nejire stopped as she blinked. "Hey, wait, hold on." She walked forward, staring at Shoji. "Why are you wearing a mask? Is it cuz you're feeling sick? Or just trying to look cool?" Shoji was about to answer when Nejire got distracted again. "And you must be Todoroki, am I right? Yeah! How'd you get that big burn on your face?"
Todoroki was about to tell her off when she was distracted again. "And Ashido, if your horns break off, you think you'll grow new ones? Oh, and can you wiggle them? Oh, oh, Asui, you're a tree frog. Not a gross toad right? Oh, my goodness. There's so much I wanna know about every one of you. Let's have a Q and A."
Nejire bounced around as Aizawa started to growl.
"Hey, Ojiro, can you support your entire body weight with that tail of yours? Come on, tell me, I really wanna know."
Aizawa finally had enough, his hair floating and his eyes glaring at Nejire. "This is completely irrational."
"Oh, there's no need for you to worry, Eraser Head. I'm up next, and I'll get the audience refocused." The last of the kids grinned, smirking as he spoke. "The future's gonna be?" He paused as the class went silent.
They had no idea what he wanted them to say.
"Awful. That's your part, guys. Oh crap. My call and response was a total fail."
"All call and responses are total failures," Uzu muttered with an unimpressed look.
"These guys seem like complete weirdos," Sato whispered to those around him. "Is this some kinda joke? What's the deal?"
