Mirio gasped as he turned, facing the heroes. He didn't look too good. His cape was torn, and he was pretty beat up. Overhaul was attacking him, controlling the ground as Midoriya shot forward, punching him.
Aizawa locked eyes on Overhaul as he called Nighteye into action. "Nighteye, now! Secure those who've been injured."
Two of Overhaul's inner circle laid collapsed around the room. Overhaul himself was barely standing, and another member was outside.
Uzu flew over the group, landing behind Eri as he smiled. "Hey there. It's okay now. We won't let them hurt you. Can I pick you up?" Uzu smiled softly as Eri nodded. "Up we go." Uzu lifted her, settling her in a soft wing wrap. "I'll get Eri out. Eagle and Robbin, with me. Get Mirio, too. I don't think he can last much longer."
Sir Nighteye walked forward, wrapping an arm around Mirio. "Rest. I've got you now. You were amazing. You found her, Mirio."
Aizawa charged with Midoriya, ready to end the fight. "Time to get up, Chrono," Overhaul ordered as Aizawa pushed Midoriya out of the way.
"Those pierced by the long hand will find their movements slowed," Chrono claimed as the strange grey thing retracted into his head. "I meant to skewer both of you at once, but then, that's heroes for ya."
Aizawa gritted his teeth as he tried to keep his eyes open. He couldn't. Overhaul slammed his hand on the floor, the spikes appearing out of the ground, forcing Midoriya to back off.
Uzu screamed, taking to the sky as he held Eri. Nighteye pulled Mirio away, and Robbin pushed Eagle out of the spikes, but not before he could save himself. He let out a scream as the spike impaled his leg.
"Robbin," Uzu and Eagle shouted together as he cursed.
"As if I'd let my plans be ruined by people like you who are sick in the head. You get it, Nemoto." Overhaul stood up as Nemoto crashed before him. You want me to succeed. I won't allow all my hard work to end here. You've always been eager to help. So I know you'll happily give your life for my cause, won't you?" Overhaul grabbed the man's mask as his Quirk activated.
Light burst through the two as power radiated from them.
"I'll be a good sport and acknowledge you were stronger than me, Lemillion. I respect your perseverance. But in the end, I will still be the victor." Overhaul grew his arms, a pair growing from his back. "Now, heroes. I'll have you return Eri to me!"
"Shit." Uzu glanced at Eagle, who shook. "Eagle, orders."
Eagle shook her head. "I-I don't know. With don't have Eraser to stop that guy's Quirk!"
"Yes, you do," Robbin interrupted. "Finish the mission. Protect the girl!" Robbin gritted his teeth as the bird stormed out. "Ultimate move, Raining beaks."
The birds stormed down, their beaks breaking through the rocks without a single bit of resistance. Overhaul tutted in annoyance, holding up his hand as he destroyed the birds, splattering the bodies around as Robbin gasped in pain.
"I got you." Eagle appeared from behind, touching Overhaul's back before he could respond. "Ultimate move, Eyelock!" The eyes appeared over his body, forcing him to stop. "Morph, get out of here. Go!" Uzu hesitated, holding Eri as Eagle smiled. "We'll be okay. Trust your friends."
Uzu nodded, turning and running, breaking Midoriya out of the spikes that held him. "I need an exit."
"Right." Midoriya rushed to the wall as Overhaul spoke.
"Cleanliness is an obsession of mine. When someone contaminates me with their filth, I lose control."
Eagle screamed as her eyes were destroyed, one by one. She fell back, blood pouring from her palms. Overhaul reached out, and before Midoriya could respond, Eri was in his arms. "Don't touch her!" Uzu shot before Overhaul, pulling Eagle away from his touch.
"It's never gone quite this far before, though. What an unfortunate turn for you, Lemillion. You chose to get involved with Eri, with me. And now your Quirk is lost forever."
Sir Nighteye gasped as he heard the words. Uzu cursed. This was bad. He couldn't leave without Overhaul killing them all, and this was a new level of bad. Losing their quirks could lose the fight for good.
"If you'd only backed down sooner, You could have held on to your pathetic dreams. But instead, you fought, refusing to give up even after your Quirk was gone." Overhaul reached out, opening the case before him. "And now, thanks to your heroics, your friends will die along with you."
Overhaul charged, digging through the rocks like nothing. Midoriya charged, kicking a piece of rock free and digging it into Overhaul's hand, but it disintegrated the second it made contact. Midroiya jumped away as the rocks spun around Overhaul.
Uzu gulped in shock. "Wait, where's-" he stopped as he saw Robbin hiding Eri under the feathers of his dead birds.
"Told you to trust us," Eagle strained. "Every move has more than one purpose."
Uzu glanced at Overhaul as the eye formed on his neck, on every joint.
Overhaul formed the rocks in his hand, using them as a shield against Midoriya's attack.
"Stand down, Deku. I'll deal with him." Sir Nighteye charged as Midoriya landed away.
"Will you now?" Overhaul almost seemed amused as Nighteye threw his stamps at him. Overhaul dodged just as easily.
"You two, look out for the others."
"Understood," they answered together as Uzu took to the sky, flying Eagle to land next to Robbin.
"Can you get your leg out?" Uzu frowned in concern as Robbin gritted his teeth.
"Probably not the best idea." Uzu nodded before reaching down, ripping part of his trouser off. "I don't think that'll work. The spike impaled my artery."
"You underestimate me. When I changed my costume, I asked them if there was a way to include medical supplies. I didn't want to be put in another situation where someone was dying, and I couldn't help. Mei decided instead, why not integrate it. This fabric is specially designed to stretch around my body without ripping and being compact enough to supply thermal layers and padding. Because of all that, it also works as perfect bandage ties." Uzu wrapped the fabric around Robbin's leg before breaking off a small spike, twisting it in the fabric and turning the wrap until the bleeding stopped.
"Let's get you out," Midoriya announced, breaking the spike below the injury. "It's still best we leave the spike in."
"Agreed. You think you can get us an exit?" Midoriya nodded as Uzu turned to Eri and Mirio. "Are you two okay? Can you walk?"
Mirio nodded. "Yeah. No problem. I'm fine. But I failed. You're sad again, and it's my fault."
"C'mon. Let's get her safe." Uzu supported Eagle and Robbin as Midoriya punched through the walls.
"I'm pretty sure that'll lead us back," he announced as Eagle grinned.
"It does."
"We need to get away from Chisaki."
Eri gasped, seeing the blood on her hands. "No. That's enough." Eri cried, holding her hands over her heart.
Behind them, the blood splattered on the floor as Nighteye was impaled by the spikes. "Sir!"
"I'm so sorry."
