Unknown Force

Chapter 3

"Rey what the hell did you get dragged into" Qyn asked herself when she was coming up to the planet Takodana, it was pretty far from Jakku and Qyn worried her sister got into something that she couldn't get herself out of.

Flying over the lands and marshes of Takodana, Qyn flew towards the old temple building that was a hangout for travelers, dwellers and people like her hunting for information and she knew Maz would know where Rey would be when she spoke to her about her sister. She landed her ship next to the building, being in a hurry to find Rey and get her back home and forget this whole thing ever happened in the first place; with a quick pep in her step Qyn made her way to the doors that opened up for her. The sounds of people inside chatted loudly in her ears when she scanned the large room for her sister; or for Maz to ask her about her sister. 

But her purple eyes landed on her target Rey, seeing her sitting at a table in the far corner of the room with two men and Maz along with a droid; Qyn was angry when she saw Rey here and with strangers, she had no idea she could trust or not, did she not burn it in her brain enough that she couldn't trust anyone who came across her path.

"Rey!" Qyn shouted over the people's chatter to catch Rey's attention who turned towards her and had a smile on her face.

"Qyn, your back" Rey said with a smile on her face as Qyn looked her dead in the eyes with a pissed off look while Rey acted like nothing big happened.

"Yeah, and guess what I couldn't find you anywhere on Jakku; I had to beat up some stormtroopers for information, thank the maker I put a tracker on your weapon" Qyn growled at Rey, ignoring the others around the table around them.

"Qyn, what was I supposed to do? I was going to go back to Jakku once BB-8 is sent off to the resistance" Rey's smile fell slightly when explaining why she had to leave Jakku all of a sudden before pointing to the droid that was beside her.

"Fuck the droid and the resistance, we are going home now" she growled through her teeth when clenching her fists together trying to hold back the yelling from how angry she was.

"You sound like, Liz" the voice of the man to Qyn's left spoke up after listening to her argue back and forth with Rey.

The mention of Qyn's mother's name made her blood run cold; turning her attention to the man sitting beside her, placing a hand on the table to lean on and place her other hand on her hip raising a brow at the man who looked up at her.

"And who the hell are you?" she asked with a hint of irk in her voice when looking at the man in front of her.

"Defiantly Liz's daughter; I'm Han Solo, your sister stole my ship off of Jakku and ran into me and my partner; brought her, Finn and the droid here to get the droid off the planet" Han gave a dry chuckle to Qyn before telling her the story about how he found Rey and Finn on his old ship out in space.

"Well, thank you for helping Rey but she and I have to go; Rey we're leaving now" Qyn spoke a little bit sarcastically before looking back at Rey with a glare before turning away to walk away expecting Rey to follow her outside.

But she stopped mid-way when she didn't sense Rey catch up with her; Qyn turned around to look at Rey who didn't move from her spot from the table and that made Qyn's blood boil even hotter.

"Seriously?" Qyn raised a brow trying to keep her anger in check since she had a short temper.

"Qyn I know what you're going to say but let me get this droid to the resistance and then we can go home" Rey said trying to dull the anger that she could see coming off of Qyn's face while looking at her from where she stood.

"No, no it is not your place to step in where the first order and the resistance are fighting against each other; people like you and me keep our heads down Rey. We are nothing in a war like this one" Qyn said back to Rey walking back to the table, not wishing for Rey to be dragged into something like war when she doesn't even know how to fight that well or even know about the world itself.

"Qyn-" Rey tried to speak but Qyn held up her hand to stop her from talking again.

"I will wait for you on the jet" Qyn said before turning away from Rey and marching out of the building to head back to her jet to wait for Rey to come back.

Qyn leaned against her jet waiting for Rey to return to her so they could leave this planet and go back to their normal lives on Jakku. Qyn couldn't help but drift her fingers over her light saber that belonged to her mother, it was the only thing she had from her maybe the only useful thing she ever gotten from her mother; she was so lost in thought that she didn't hear someone walk up to her.

"You know this can't be avoided" the voice of Maz came to her ears when she turned to look at Maz on her right.

"It can if I make sure it will" was all she said when looking away from Maz and look out to the forest of the planet.

"Qyn, I have a feeling this is a bit more about you than it is Rey; I know you wished to have some sort of control in your life, to protect the family you built with Rey as your sister after what happened to your mother and father" Maz sighed heavily when standing next to Qyn who was still staring off into the distance.

"I don't give a damn what happened between my parents, my mother was a bitch, and my father was a backstabber; I'm not putting Rey in any danger so that the Jedi can come back to life" Qyn looked at Maz with a bit a hate in her eyes when speaking about her parents. There was no love loss when it came to her parents.

"Even if you were trained to become a Jedi yourself? You still don't wish to continue for the freedom of the galaxy?" Maz spoke to Qyn knowing her little secret before asking her the big question that was making her angry again.

"No, it leads to nothing but trouble and the force; shouldn't have been made in the first place" Qyn shook her head when looking at Maz again before growling a bit while speaking about the force itself.

Maz wished to continue to speak some sort of sense into Qyn, but the sounds of jets caught her attention when looking up at the sky; the sight of the first order made Qyn worry about Rey who still hasn't show up yet. Running away from her jet she ignored Maz's calls to her and rushed back to the building seeing Finn and Han there, but she didn't see Rey with them.

"Where's Rey?" Qyn asked in worry when she slid to a stop in front of Han and Finn.

"She ran off into the forest" Han said pointing to where he last saw Rey run off to.

Qyn didn't waste time to start running against towards the forest where Rey was last seen running off to; knowing the order was landing and ready to attack made her worry that Rey would be taken prisoner or worse if she didn't get to her in time.
