Today's update is different. I've seen Tiktok videos go around lately where fans are talking about Pokemon they genuinely thought were Legendary at one point in time or another and they turned out to NOT be Legendary or Mythical. I won't deny, there were quite a few Pokemon out there I genuinely thought held Legendary status and turned out not to be.
1. Volcarona

The poster child for 'Everyone mistakes me for a Legendary Pokemon' Volcarona is REPEATEDLY treated like a Legendary Pokemon despite how it SHOULD be considered one. For starters, Volcarona's Pokedex entries detail how Volcarona has THE POWER OF THE SUN at its fingertips, something only Legendary Pokemon Reshiram & Solgaleo is capable of. Two, Volcarona had a secret special encounter within the Post game of Pokemon Black & White. To encounter Volcarona, you had to traverse an underground desert tomb Labyrinth where at the end lied a Volcarona lying in wait, at an altar no less. When this battle was triggered, you got the Legendary Pokemon Animation and music. Let's also not forget how in New Pokemon Snap, Volcarona got the Legendary Pokemon treatment once again as an Illumina Pokemon which ARE in fact gods on the new Pokemon region. Pokemon, please just make Volcarona a Legendary already...
