Chapter 13- Nicole is Nicole

"So that's what you're going to do for the rest of the day? It's summer, Adri! You can't bum around like that," George urged as he poked my arm.

"I'm not bumming around," I said as I adjusted my baggy shirt and sweats. My hair got in my face and I blew on it. "Okay, maybe I am, but I'm used to hanging out with Chase," I mumbled.

"Ouh, Chase," George began in a high-pitched voice. "He's my knight in shining armor and I'm his lazy princess who stalks him making out with the witch while picking my nose and taking my wedgies out every five minute-"

"George!" I laugh and throw my sofa's cushion at him, who just catches it and laughs.

"Let's do something productive, Adri."

"Like what?" I question as I sit up.

"Let's figure out what Nancy is hiding," he shrugged.

"Nancy-or Nicole, is smart, George. She knows we're up to something and I fear she might be on to us too," I bit my lip and George takes my hand.

"Well then we better get to her first," he smiles.

"Adri, look!" George startles me and I scrambled to my feet.

"Jesus, George. What is it?"

"Nancy- or Nicole, had a sister... A twin!"

"What the fuck? That just makes thing even more complicated! Ugh!" I pull on my hair and groan.

"No, see look at it this way. Nicole, is Nicole and Nancy is Nancy. The only questions are, where is Nancy?"

"And what happened to Nancy?" I wonder.

George nodded,"Exactly. When did you say Nicole moved here?"

"Two years ago, why?"

"Because whatever happened, caused Nicole to move over here-"

"And ruin my life!" I burst.

"Sure, she moved all the way over here to ruin your life," he agrees with an eye roll.

"George you're a genius! Now we have to find out what happened to Bitchcole's sister..."

"Right and then- Bitchcole? Really?" He deadpanned.

"It's like a code name okay?"

"Whatever, as I was saying, then we can hold whatever information we find, against her!"

"George, you are my new friend," I beam.

"I thought we were already-"

"You know what I mean," I chuckle. "Thank you, George."

"Anything for you, my friend," he winked and got up to make himself a snack. "Where the hell are your parents?"

"Being lawyers involve a lot of time out of the house, but whenever they can, they make time for us as a family. No matter how busy, they always come back with the same amount of love I have for them," I smile.

"That's nice," George smiles back and returns to making his snack.

Alright Nancy, what happened to you?
