Breakfast and the whole afternoon went by fast watching movies while doing homework and now I'm currenlty laying flat on my bed, staring at the ceiling. Maybe Chase was right. I mean, the chances of him and I being together are like wishing for rain in the middle of a desert. But then I remember how I dated Robert only to get my mind off of Chase and hopefully forget about my feelings for him, while also hoping to instead fall for Robert. I told Robert right from the start the only reason why I would date him and he was totally okay with it so I mean, I'm not heartless. I had managed four months with him before he cheated on me with another girl. For sex. Chase beat the crap out of him- after I told him not to- behind my back. It was one thing to be with someone to forget your feelings for someone else and it was another thing to cheat for sex.

You can't blame me for not being ready. Even though there are some girls who have sex at a young age, I don't consider them 'sluts' or 'whores', some people are just ready earlier than others. It doesn't make it right to be doing things like that at a young age, but then again, what is the right age? Some people aren't 18 yet- the most common age that conciders you an adult- and they are way more mature than even people over 21. People are different and no one is perfect to have the right to judge others.

I couldn't date someone, it would end up with the same outcome. Going out with Robert actually only increased my feelings for Chase, so that was no help anyways.

It was already 11:46 p.m. and I felt going for a walk. I got my hoodie that was a bit shorter than my blue, denim shorts and my phone.

Skipping a step at a time, I quietly made my way to the door. My parents came at around two in the morning, but I felt cool pretending I wasn't alone and was sneaking out. Childish, I know, but that's what happens when you have no sibblings and are alone most of the time. Chase actually has an older sister, but she rarely comes to visit Chase and her mother. His parents got divorced when Chase was only nine and instead of his sister, Darline, and him growing close, they grew apart. Darline took her dad's side and Chase took his mother's. I'd be lying if I said his sister wasn't beautiful. Her wavy, blonde, shiny hair, piercing, green eyes, flawless face, like Chase's, and the same pink, full lips, made her look like she came out of a model magazine.

The night was accompanied by cold air that nipped at my skin. I locked the door and walked towards the park a few blocks away.

"And where do you think you're going?" I jumped a foot in the air when I heard the male voice through the darkness. With my hand over my chest, my rapid breathing, and the laughter coming from Chase, I decided I'd ignore him for scaring me. I turned right around and decided I would take the long way to the park.

The laughter subsided and turned into chuckles.

"Adri wait!" Chase called with a smile. I couldn't see him because my back was to him, but you know that feeling you get when someone is talking, and you can actually visualize the smile by the way their voice sound? Well, I had a feeling he had a smile on his face.

He caught up to me in no time with his long strides.

"But seriously, where are you going at this time of the night? There could be creepy people out there."

"You're right. I'm looking at one right now actually," I teased with a smile.

"You know you love this creep, Adri."

I do.

"Yeah right. I was headed towards the park for a little walk to clear my mind off things," I replied while walking with my hands in my front hoddie's pocket with my head down.

"Adri, a teenage girl walking alone to a public park at almost midnight spells 'danger'."

"Chase, I'm fine, I have my phone with me and I also have life alert."
