(Absolutely.)

I stood in my hair room organizing my stuff and waiting on my friend Christian to come over to get his hair braided.
I had literally...EVERYTHING. Gel, combs, creams, and Shampoo and Conditioner. I didn't really believe in the whole 'come with your hair washed and blow dried' thing I find it to be stupid.
If I'm going to do your hair I'm going to go through ALLLLLL the steps so that it's done exactly the way I like it done. Anyway, I finished up organizing the last few things, laying out the rug that I use to catch hair when I heard the doorbell.
"Coming!" I exclaimed. I always loved doing Chris's hair. He was an amazing client and friend. (No to mention he's fine as fuck but anyway..)
Opening the door, I am met with Christian's usual charming smile. "Y/N! How you been?" He exclaims, followed by a quick embrace.
I hug him back, chucking at his excitement. He's legit always excited to get his hair done and I don't understand it because I HATE getting my hair done.
"I'm good Chris, what's up with this beanie?" I say, tugging the cotton material between my thumb and index. He pursed his lips, dimples peeking.
"See what had happened was.." He paused, chucking up his middle finger as if to say 'hold on.' Next thing you know, I'm bombarded with a jumble of frizzy 4C hair.
My hand shot up to my face. I was trying so hard not to laugh at this boy. "What the hell happened.." I tried to ask calmly. I couldn't do it bro. I busted out laughing before he even had the chance to answer.
He smacked his lips. "N/N quit. Trick poured water all over me and my hair shrunk."
This shit did not help him at all. I cackled even harder cuz that's definitely something Trick would do especially if he knew he was getting his hair braided today.
"Okay okay- AHAHAH LET'S GET YOU SITUATED" I said between cackles. He rolled his eyes, making his way to my hair room with me trailing weakly behind him.
He got himself situated at the sink, routinely shutting his brown eyes and letting me do my thing. I began shampooing his hair. Chris had super curly hair, as soon as you drenched it, his curls defined and that made me so jealous.
"Your hair is so pretty ugh." I whispered, massaging the shampoo into his scalp and lathering his coils. He chuckled at me.
"N/N you say that every single time."
"PFFFT. It's the truth" We laugh together.
As I rinse out the shampoo, he begins texting someone on his phone. That's all well and fine but I highkey don't like when he gets too distracted because his muscles tense up and he doesn't even notice it. It makes it hard to wash his hair.
While I condition I go to tilt his head down, but it doesn't budge. See what I mean?
"Christian relax your neck." I sigh, trying once again to tilt his head down.
"My fault." He replies, not taking his eyes off his screen. Next, I blow dry is hair out and now it's time to braid. My eyes widen at the length of his hair after just three weeks of not seeing him. This boy hair grows fast and I'm honestly jealous.
"Oh my god.." I gasped. I quickly reached for my phone, taking a selfie of Chris and I in the mirror. Putting my phone back in my back pocket, I began parting and braiding his hair.
When I got finished was when he finally snapped his eyes up from his phone to the mirror. Those dimples yet again becoming visible as an excited smile washed over his face.
"OUUUUUUU YESSSSSS!!" He exclaimed, dapping me up. I chuckled at the way he stuck his tongue out, posing in the mirror. Quickly, I filmed a Snapchat video and posted it, tagging him.
"Ugh I love you forreal." He said causing me to laugh. That boy is silly as I don't know what.
"Whatever get out, I got other clients!" I yelled jokingly, quickly hugging him before he took his leave.
*ding*
My attention was grabbed by the sudden dinging and vibrating of my phone in my pocket. I pulled it out, looking at the notification.
" Carmelo Hayes sent you $200 for 'you deserve it❤️' "
I chuckled, he always overpaid me, even when I was just det angling his hair for him. That's what I loved about Christian, he's such a giver. I swiped my finger across the screen to opening our messages, typing out:
"Thank you, Chris💙"
