It would have been a beautiful morning, at least, that's the way Kaeya saw it if he wasn't locked in some archon forsaken dungeon. He had no idea how long he had been down here, but it didn't seem like he was leaving anytime soon.
His wrists ached from the chains bound uncomfortably behind him, but at least he could walk around his small cell.
There was a cot on one side of his prison, which unkindly had a mattress that could only be described as filled with rocks, and the pillow was not to be spoken of.
'It could be worse,' He reasoned to himself, 'definitely better than that one time I got stuck in that avalanche with the Chief Alchemist."
The click of a heel snapped him of his thoughts as he jerked his head toward the location of the sound, trying to see the possible threat approaching.
"Well, well, well. If it isn't the Calvary Captain Kaeya in chains... pity, I thought it would have been more difficult for my troops to kidnap you." The unseen figure spoke confidently, walking closer.
Kaeya almost jumped as the person slammed a rock against the bars of the cell, the sound echoing throughout the room, cringing at the awful screeching noise as they dragged it down the metal.
They laughed as they watched his expression, "So, you have something of a backbone, however... your fighting skills could use some polishing, and your style... I needn't say more."
He blinked (winked?), not expecting the insult to his clearly superior fashion choices to the person's plain black clothing. Dare he say he was slightly miffed.
"My style is quite admirable and my swordsmanship is perfectly fine, thank you very much. Besides, you had to send people after me instead of getting me yourself." He spoke smoothly, trying to ruffle them as much as they did him, even though he didn't show it.
They looked him up and down slowly, scrutinizing every little detail, to which Kaeya smirked, before meeting their searching gaze.
"My eyes are up here~" He purred, seemingly unbothered by the fact that the person was checking them out.
Bored eyes met his, "Do you think you are all that attractive?" They laughed, amused, "Oh boy, what a lady killer you must be!"
Kaeya was, again, very confused. His tactics usually worked, however, he wouldn't give up.
"Who are you anyway?," He asked, trying to coax info from the stranger.
"Not important. You, however have some information that I need for a friend." The figure opened the door of the cell, and walked it, closing and locking it behind them.
"So," they leaned against the bars, "Prince, huh."
Kaeya's eye widened as he heard them, he hadn't told anyone, so how did they know? He knew he had to make this difficult for them though.
"I have no idea what your talking about." He said flatly, meeting their eyes, "I am simply a humble knight who serves in Mondstadt."
The figure, who he now noticed was shorter then him, grinned, and took a few steps toward him, effectively entering his personal space in the tiny cell.
"Really now..."
"Yes"
"And you expect me to believe this?"
"I mean, I would... however... if you needed convincing..."
They tilted their head, feigning confusion, and took another step forward, "And how would an enemy 'convince' me?"
This time Kaeya leaned towards them, getting close to their face,
"I have a few ideas.."
"Do you now? Well by all means, care to explain them to me?" They leaned forward as well, effectively only leaving a mere centimeter between them.
"Hmm, but wouldn't that be quite dull only to explain it when I could give a demonstration?" He purred, hoping that he would be successful, wait wha-
Kaeya suddenly found his cuffs undone and heard the clink of keys. The person stepped away from him, eyes twinkling playfully. "Maybe another time Captain, for now, you can go free."
He froze with confusion, but then smirked at them, albeit disappointed. "Thank you for the freedom darling, but may I ask why?"
They stopped before answering him, choosing their words carefully, "perhaps I just want to see your skills when I'll have to chase you all over again." The door creaked open behind them, through it, freedom.
"Anyways, good luck, Captain."
