Castles Crumbling/ Helaena Targaryen out now!

"Jaime where are you running off to?" Tywin questioned.

"Cersei-"

"Doesnt need you." Tywin corrected. "Your beautiful wife however wants another child."

"Father-"

"Yet you dont love such a gorgeous creature? You would rather spend time listening to your sister whine and complain about her oaf of a husband." Tywin tsked.

"Zaria didnt tell me she wanted more children." Jaime admitted hesitantly.

"She is a woman. She wants a daughter to dress up. Her boys are almost men it seems so more and more these days. She needs another child to dote over."

"I love Zaria." Jaime reminded his father harshly.

"Then show her and stop running off. If I notice your absence surely she does. She will find another bed mate if you leave her lonely for too long." Tywin informed him.

"Cersei informed me that lord arryn is sick." Jaime corrected. "I was going to go to the capital. Check on everyone... zaria talked to you about wanting more children?"

"Yes. She is a wonderful woman. We talk often." Tywin agreed. He had often wondered why he pawned Zaria off on jaime. Then he remembered. Zaria was 14 when she wed Jaime. A child to tywins years but she wasnt a child anymore and jaime was taking advantage of her compassion.

"And she said-"

"Talk to your wife." Tywin instructed.

"Z! We are heading up to the castle today," jaime called out.

"Why?" They heard echoed.

"Why not?" Jaime countered. There was a long hesitation before they heard Zaria agree.

"She doesnt want to go to a place where the king stares at her chest." Tywin corrected.

"Then come with. Keep an eye on her." Jaime suggested.

"Better idea. You go and I will stay here for a while. Help the boys with their studies. Taste some of whatever that glorious smell is coming from the kitchen." Tywin offered.

"Zaria is the best cook. Learned from her mother." Jaime agreed.

"Go Jaime. If you must." Tywin assured. Jaime hesitated.

"I can stay." Jaime corrected. "You are right-"

"Of course I am." Tywin agreed. "But Im staying either way."

Jaime stayed for supper. Aeron and Arthur gobbled it down like it was their last meal. Zaria stroked Aerons hair. Her boys were so handsome like their father and grandfather. She didnt see much of her own father in her boys which disappointed her slightly. But they carried Dayne blood.

"This is delicious Zaria!" Tywin declared. "I dont know why jaime spends so much time at the capital eating that garbage when he has your lovely cooking."

"Thank you Tywin. I do love it when you visit!" Zaria declared fondly. Jaime rolled his eyes. Zaria knew how to push jaimes buttons too. "I feel so valued and appreciated."

Zaria did love her husband. He was the father of the two most precious things in her life. Her boys. Her sons. But Jaime was unfaithful and zaria had gotten used to it. She loved him. But when cersei summoned she was persistent and zaria didnt blame him for going. Cersei didnt stop barking at him when he didnt. She just wished he would grow a backbone and realize Zaria was the best damn thing to happen to him and he needed to grow a pear and man up and tell his sister no.

But that didnt seem likely.

Zaria doted on her boys. Loved when tywin came to visit. She noticed he didnt visit the capital as much as he visited them in kings landing.

Zaria wanted a home a Real home. Not trapped in the palace walls. Much to cerseis dismay jaime had agreed. Tywin had bought them a beautiful home. Once they could raise children in and when their marriage was fresh one that would serve as protection, security, an isolation of sorts in case zaria tried to flee.

She didnt flee. She had nowhere to go and now she would never leave. She liked her life. She loved her boys. Jaime was a good man. Not a great husband but a wonderful lover when he choose her bed.

Zaria was cleaning up supper while jaime poured her another glass of wine.

But that night when Tywin found Zaria she smiled sweetly back at him, such innocence in her eyes.

"I sent jaime away." Zaria remarked nonchalantly.

"Oh?"

"Cersei sent about four messengers with come now Im needy messages." Zaria agreed. She didnt know if tywin knew but she suspected he did. Suspected he knew of his children's foolish ways.

"Gods that girl. She has a castle full of people and she still clings to jaime as if he is her blankie when she was a child scared of the dark." Tywin hissed.

"Its okay." Zaria assured. "Im... glad you are here. I would have burned the messengers if not."

"Oh?" Tywin mused as she took a step closer to him.

"Come on. The boys are off to bed. Come join in mine."
