"And if you get in any trouble, all you've got to do is say 'my father' and that's it, all your troubles are gone."" Don't." Jaime begged. Arthur found a sword from a drunk knight and glanced for the horses.
" Have you got something to say?" Locke demanded. "Careful. You don't want to say the wrong thing. You're nothing without your daddy, and your daddy ain't here. Never forget that." He released jaime slightly removing the knife from his cheek. "Here, this should help you remember." he grabbed the cleavers and with one single blow he chopped jaimes hand off. Arthur froze as his father wailed out. Before he ran leaping onto a horse and taking off bareback into the night. Everyone was too focused on jaimes wails to notice their youngest prisoner escaping.
"Rhaenyra Targaryen was murdered by her brother, or rather his dragon. It ate her while her son watched. What's left of her is buried in the crypts right down there."
" The ceremony is traditionally held in the main sanctum, which seats seven hundred comfortably." Cersei agreed.
" There appears to be a good deal of room elsewhere on the premises for everyone else." Olenne realized.
"There aren't more than seven hundred people of any importance." Cersei assured.
"Hardly more than 50 that actually care about the couple." Zaria murmured.
"No, the rest are there to look adoringly upon the seven hundred to remind them how superior they must be to have the best seats." Olenna added. Zaira nodded.
"Seems about right." Zaria agreed
"How are you faring dear? This must be hard. The baby and your husband and som captured." olenna added
"It feels like my heart might explode not knowing where my son is. I can only hope jaime is the man he had always claimed to be and can get them both home." Zaria added.
" Over there in that urn, the ashes of Aerion Targaryen. Aerion Brightflame, they called him. He thought drinking wildfire would turn him into a dragon." Joffrey went on and Margaery laughed softly. " He was wrong. And, of course, there's the Mad King, killed by my uncle. Would you like to see where the last Targaryens are buried?"
"How many of those fingers do you think we could shove up his ass?"
"Depends if he's had any practice. Is that the sort of thing you and your sister go in for, Kingslayer? She loosened you up for us?" Locke questioned. Jaime bent on his horse teetering. "Too bad his kid fled. Could have had some fun with him too. Not to worry all the more fun for you kingslayer."
" He's going to fall. He's going to fall off his horse. Someone help him." Brienne calld out as he fell face first into the mud.
"Water. Water. Please, water. Wa-water. Water, please. Please. Please." Jaime begged. "If I die, you won't be getting-"
" Oh, enough. Here." Locke handed over a canteen, jaime drank is eagerly. "Can't say that I've ever seen a man drink horse piss that fast."
"I miss him." Zaria sobbed into Tywin. "My ARthur..."
"He will be with us soon enough." Tywin assured.
"What are we doing about these awful starks?" Zaria whimpered.
"Everything we can. Our war with them will end soon enough." Tywin assured touching her stomach. "You are due any day now." he realized.
"I think its another moon." Zaria countered. "I just look like a melon." She looked around the nursery. "Watch it be a boy and all these flowers and shades of pastels will be for nothing," zaria chuckled softly.
"We should add a baby lion." Tywin realized. "Peering out of the flowers."
"I love that." Zaria agreed leaning back into him. Wrapping his arms around he could pretend that she was his.
"Eat. What are you doing?" Brienne questioned.
" I'm dying." Jaime countered unable to keep his eyes open.
"You can't die. You need to live to take revenge."
" I don't care about revenge." Jaime corrected.
"You coward. A little misfortune and you're giving up." Brienne hissed.
" Misfor- misfortune?" Jaime scoffed.
" You lost your hand."
"My sword hand. I was that hand." Jaime corrected. Zaria might have laughed seeing him so broken. He remembered the look on her face after she had kisssed jon just to annoy him. She would see him so broken and handless and... she would cry and hug him because that was the type of woman she was. He wasnt getting back to her however. He knew it.
" You have a taste- one taste of the real world where people have important things taken from them and you whine and cry and quit. You sound like a bloody woman." Brienne corrected. Jaime hesitated before reaching for the bread. "I know what you did for me. You told them Tarth was full of sapphires. It's called the Sapphire Isle because of the blue of its water. You knew that. Why did you help me?"
"You spared my son." Jaime answered. "You didnt have to. He wasnt in your bargain to Stark."
"You wanted to speak to me?" Tywin questioned.
" Yes, about Jaime." Cersei agreed glancing to zaria and aeron reading on the couch in tywins office. Zaria glanced back at her as she mindlessly played with aerons hair.
"What about him?" Tywin drawled as he dipped his quill in the ink.
" I wanted to make sure we're doing everything we can to get him back."
"When Catelyn Stark took Tyrion prisoner, what did I do in response?" Tywin countered.
" You started a war."
"And he doesnt even like tyrion." Zaria mumbled turning back to her book. Tywins lip quirked up before returning to a straight line.
" And if I would start a war for that lecherous little stump, what do you think I am doing for my oldest son and heir?" Tywin demanded.
" Whatever you can." She sighed.
"Whatever I can." Tywin agreed finishing a letter and starting a new one. " You're still here." He stated annoyed.
" Yes."
"Why?" Tywin demanded.
"Yes why?" Zaria questioned.
"Why are you here?" Cersei sassed
"Cersei leave zaria be." Tywins voice left no room for argument it silenced cersei in an instant. But not for long.
" Did it ever occur to you that I might be the one who deserves your confidence and your trust, not your sons? Not Jaime or Tyrion, but me." Cersei demanded. Tywin sighed putting down his quill. "Years and years of lectures on family and legacy- the same lecture, really, just with tiny, tedious variations- did it ever occur to you that your daughter might be the only one listening to them? Living by them? That she might have the most to contribute to your legacy that you love so much more than your actual children?"
"Jaime married Zaria and she provided two heirs but All right. Contribute." Tywin agreed. It made zaria sad again to think of arthur out there.
" The Tyrells are a problem."
"The Tyrells helped us defeat Stannis Baratheon. The Tyrells saved your life, your children's lives." Tywin corrected.
" Margaery has her claws in Joffrey. She knows how to manipulate him."
"Must get that from you." Zaria mumbled shifting in her spot. She couldnt read when cerseis voice was striking a nerve.
" Good. I wish you knew how to manipulate joffrey. I don't distrust you because you're a woman. I distrust you because you're not as smart as you think you are. You've allowed that boy to ride roughshod over you and everyone else in this city." Tywin agreed turning back to his desk.
"Perhaps you should try stopping him from doing what he likes." Cersei hissed.
"I will." Tywin assured calmly. "Go cersei."
Theres the door bitch.
