At the Hand of the King's tournament. Baelish saw Sansa looking at Joffrey who hid his face from her. Zaria ran her hands along her boys back leading them to a spot. Renly waved her over."Lover's quarrel?" Petyr remarked coming up to Sansa.
"I'm sorry. Do I...?" Sansa looked him over confused.
"Sansa dear, this is Lord Baelish. He's known as..." Mordone began before silencing herself.
"An old friend of the family. I've known your mother a long long time." Petyr offered.
"Why do they call you Littlefinger?" Arya interrupted.
"Arya!" Sansa declared, Arya shrugged.
"Don't be rude!" Mordane agreed.
"No, it's quite all right. When I was a child I was very small and I come from a little spit of land called The Fingers, so you see, it's an exceedingly clever nickname." Petyr explained and Arya wasn't impressed.
"Hi renly," zaria said sitting beside him.
"Lady zaria you are a sight for sore eyes."
"Doubt that. Its too hot today. After being in the north suddenly this is hot! Whats happened to me?" Zaria teased
"How was the north?"
"Cold and snowy. But the boys liked it. Right?"
"Besides brans fall." Aeron added.
"Yes." Zaria whispered.
"I've been sitting here for days! Start the damn joust before I piss myself!" Robert demanded.
" Gods, who is that?"
"Ser Gregor Clegane. They call him the Mountain. The Hound's older brother." Petyr answered.
"Tywin," Zaria declared, rising up from the bleachers.
"Hello grandsire," The boys answered.
"Boys," Tywin answered. "Zaria what are you doing?"
"Watching the tourney, Jaime is-"
"It's boiling out here and the seats are awful, you are pregnant, he doesnt really expect you to sit around all day in the hot sun while he plays with sticks." Tywin tsked. Zaria chuckled as he offered her a hand up.
"He's my husband, Tywin, I can support him." Zaria countered.
"Joffrey, up." Tywin demanded.
"Why?" Joffrey whined.
"Your aunt is pregnant and needs shade and comfort." Tywin answered pulling joffrey to his feet.
"Tywin-" zaria cooed.
"Sit," Tywin commanded. "Better? Let me get you some water-"
"Tywin I'm fine." Zaria assured but he was already walking off. aeron and Arthur followed her into the shade.
"This is nicer." Aeron admitted.
"There you are, ah joffrey how kind of you." Jaime offered. Joffrey pouted his arms crissed tightly over his chest. Jaime didnt understand zaria didnt offer explanation.
"You competing next?" Zaria questioned as he leaned forward kissing her.
"Yes." Jaime agreed. "One day you boys will be joining me in tournament."
"Mama doesnt like tourneys." Aeron corrected as arthur chuckled.
"What?"
"Im picturing the king fighting in one of these things, if he could get off his ass." Arthur admitted.
"Thats not nice. Thats very true but not nice." Zaria countered running her fingers through his very blonde hair. "Go on we will be here when you win."
"Here you dearest," tywin held out a tall glass of iced water a little lemon wedge on the rim he kissed her temple as he handed it over
"Father."
"Jaime."
"What are you doing here?" Jaime questioned.
"Tending to your pregnant wife considering you would rather poke other grown men with sticks than tend to her. She is carrying life Jaime." Tywin reminded him. "She is and always will be precious. Not your arm candy."
"Next up," the master of revels declared "ser Jaime Lannister against-"
"Go jaime. We will be here. Safe and sound in the shade. I got my water i got my boys. Tywin will keep an eye out for us as well." Zaria added when jaime hesitated
"But the moment i decide its too hot out here we go in. Forget your little trophy." Tywin countered
"Thanks dad."Jaime mumbled heading off.
"Be nice Ty," zaria whispered.
"That was nice." Tywin countered.
Big surprise to no one jaime won the bout.
"There's not a man in the Seven Kingdoms would risk hurting you." Ned corrected.
" Are you telling me those cowards would let me win?" Robert pondered.
"Aye." Ned agreed without hesitation.
"... Drink." Robert insisted
"I'm not thirsty." Ned corrected
"Drink. Your King commands it. Gods! Too fat for my armor." Robert muttered.
"Your squire... A Lannister boy?" Ned questioned.
"Hmm... A bloody idiot... But Cersei insisted. I have Jon Arryn to thank for her. Cersei Lannister will make a good match, he told me." Robert huffed. Ned thought of zaria dayne. The kings were overrun by lannisters. Taking over the castle and the dornish regions of starfall. "You'll need her father on your side." Robert went on in mock tone. "I thought being King meant I could do whatever I wanted. Enough of this! Let's go watch 'em ride. At least I can smell someone else's blood." Robert remarked.
"Robert?"
"What? Oh! An inspiring sight for the people, eh?" He fixed his pants. "Come! Bow before your King! Bow, you shits!"
Ned looked to tywin knelt beside zaria in the viewing box. She held a small smile on her face. The Lannisters werent all evil clearly. Zaria had shown him compassion and yet he killed her father. Maybe she was that good of a person so see the good in everyone. Even the lannisters.
