I smile at the chats before I turn my phone off and place it on my stomach.
"What are you so happy about?" Karl asks, sitting down on the opposite side of the couch than I was laying on. We were currently just watching an episode of Psych, but neither of us were really paying attention to the show.
We have both put our full attention to our cell phones. "Well I'm kinda talking to this girl, and I think she likes me, and I think I could maybe like her too."
"OH MY HONK" he shouts out, basically jumping to where he was sitting next to me, finally giving me his full attention for the first time in a couple of weeks. "What's her name? Where did you meet? I need you to tell me everything."
"God Karl, calm down a bit. Her name is Emery, and she works at the art store I always go to. She asked me for my number not that long ago, and she just invited me to something in a couple of days."
