Wesley's P.O.V
Without direction, I was flipping through television channels in my living room, idly waiting for it to be 8 o'clock. Suddenly, I received a video call. I picked it up and the voice on the other end was from the individual who had lured me into a world of lies and corruption.
Prior to Blair uttering any of her trademark caustic comments. I said, my voice resolute "I won't be a part of this anymore, I'll find another way to fix this, but I won't hurt Vinnie."
Blair laughed coldly, her tone sending shivers down my spine. "You really think you have a choice, dear Wesley? Remember who has the leverage here. Vinnie better not miss the carnival, or else I'll really let Luca feel it." she seethed, her fingers toying with a strand of his dark hair.
"Blair, please, just let me talk to him." I pleaded.
She smirked, a wicked glint in her eyes, "Yes, certainly. I guess this can count as my good deed of the day. Just one moment."
I watched in sorrow as Luca took the phone from her with a look of anguish and despair on his face. The sight of his distress filled my heart with sadness, knowing that I was the one to blame for his hurt.
"What the fuck, Blair? Luca doesn't deserve this. You promised you wouldn't hurt him!" I hissed, anger and guilt warring within him.
Luca's voice trembled as he replied, "I know, Wes. But she's crazy. I'm scared, babe."
Blair's laughter cut through the line, chilling them both to the bone. "Promises, promises, Wesley. You should know better than to trust a word I say. Come on, how else can I get you to do my dirty work? "
Tears welled up in my eyes as he realized the depth of the damage he had caused. "Luca, I'm so sorry. I promise, I'll find a way out of this. I love you."
"I lov--"
The sudden termination of the call filled me with anger. I hurled my phone onto the sofa in an outburst of frustration. As I stared at the device, I was forced to confront the reality of my situation. I was ensnared in a mesh of falsehoods and dishonesty, coerced into disloyalty to someone I cherished to protect another.
It was a mistake to bargain with the embodiment of evil; I should have known better.

Luca and I were celebrating our third anniversary with a romantic dinner at a luxurious restaurant. As we drove home, however, the weather took a turn for the worse. Heavy rain pounded against my windshield, and the wipers on my car swished back and forth in a frantic attempt to keep the glass clear. The sky was a bleak, inky black, and little did we know that it was marking the start of the end of our relationship.
He gazed out the window as he spoke, "When we get home, I'm going to take a bath."
"Perhaps we should share it? You know to save water." I said.
He leaned in close, his lips softly grazed my cheek, sending a thrill of warmth through my body. His smile was radiant as he uttered the words, "Looking forward to it."
My hands were shaking as I twiddled my thumbs around the steering wheel. I was eager to discover what surprise Vin had in store for me.
A car appeared in the opposite lane, and before I had time to swerve out of the way, the collision happened. My car flipped and my windshield shattered into pieces. The airbags went off, but it was too late, the damage had already been done. All I see was Luca getting dragged out the car, before everything went black.
