Chapter 4

Six was rushed to the hospital, it was lucky that the two had gotten there at the time they did. Nine went to visit Six in the hospital. "Hey broski, how are you feeling?" Nine sniffed. Six blinked at Nine weakly, Nine held her hand softly. Suddenly, Ten came in, "Nine! I came as soon as I could, what happened?" Ten rushed to Six's side and hovered their hand over Six's bandages. The both of them sat in silence for a while, the only thing Nine was focusing on at the moment was Six's breathing. He just watched their chest rise and fall softly. Ten took Nine's other hand and Nine turned to face them. Tears began bursting out of his eyes and Nine hugged Ten. They pat her back soothingly, whispering how sorry they were.

"Two now Six... I'm scared of who's next," Nine confessed through tears.

"Me too bro, we need to find out who it is. Maybe when Six is better we can ask her," Ten suggested. Nine looked over at Six, something told him that she wasn't going to make it and it tore at his heart. Hopelessness tugged down at Nine and they just caved and cried into their brothers arms.

Nine sprung up from his bed, they had a nightmare. The room was dark, her heart still pounding, sweat dripping down her face. Nine breathed heavily and began sobbing. It was too much to deal with. Nine got up and went to the kitchen to make hot chocolate. He walked past the living room and saw Seven sleeping on the couch, Nine put a blanket over their sleeping girlfriend and gave her a kiss on the forehead before continuing to the kitchen. They began making the drink before hearing a loud crash in the living room.

"Seven? Are you okay in there?" Nine shouted in, a couple of seconds went by without a response and Nine felt his heart drop. "Yeah I'm fine, don't worry! I just knocked over something on the coffee table in my sleep." Seven responded. Nine let out a sigh of relief and felt their tight chest relax.

He finished making the hot chocolate and went to the living room and sat with Seven. Nine made one for her as well and handed it to her. Seven smiled "Thanks Nine," then took a sip.

"No problem," he sighed.

"Hey what's up?" Seven took Nine's hand. Nine felt a warmth in his hand and heart, they truly did love Seven.

"Well, I'm scared." Nine paused, "Six is in the hospital and Two is dead... I'm scared who's next."

Seven looked away and took another few sips of the hot chocolate. She didn't respond, at all. And she never would.

The both of them would go to sleep anxiously that night, neither dreamt of anything and in the morning that felt worse than a nightmare.

Nine awoke to many texts expressing how sorry people felt and a few missed calls from X. Nine picked up the phone and called X back. "Hey X-er, how are you?" Nine croaked. X sounded really worried over the phone, "oh dear Nine! I'm so sorry, I hope we can find out who's done this soon."

"Yeah, this dick needs punishment for what they've done," Nine sniffed.

"Hey, do you think I could join you in seeing Six in the hospital today? We have been talking and becoming close and I just wanted to check on them." X asked, somewhat embarrassed.

"Yeah of course, I bet they'd love to see you."

"Okay thank you, What time are you going in?"

Nine looked at the time, it was already 12:30. "How about 2?"

Nine and Seven went to the hospital and met X out front. The three integers walked inside and went to reception to go to Six's room. When they were all in, X stopped and looked at Six pitifully with tears in his eyes. "Oh six, you're alright? I'm glad you survived." Six smiled on seeing X, she opened her mouth but no words came out. Nine and seven watched as X fed her the water next to their bed. Six coughed and then spoke with a very raspy voice. "Glad you're here," Six then looked at Nine. "Thanks for bringing them." X smiled and took Six's face in their palm. Seven chuckled slightly, it was obvious they both liked each other. X backed away to let the others say hello. Nine stepped forward, "nice to hear your voice again Sixer." Seven smiled at their friend and held her hand. Six coughed and all four just talked quietly before they had to leave.

Nine was in the kitchen making popcorn when he got a call from the hospital, he picked up. "Hey it's Nine," he started.

"It's Six, someone broke in and stabbed her to death. We're very sorry and are looking into it. Currently, we are checking out security camera footage. You should probably come over," the operator explained.

Authors note: (825 words) Heyyyyyy hope u likedddd thisss oneee. So um its very "ohhhh nooooo we have no clue what to do eberyone is dying" for like all of this and chapter five BUT! DO NOT FEAR......... in chapter six they actually start doing things about it. (Yes i have written up to chapter six shhhhhh, I want to post these at a nice pace) anyways have a nice day/night :]
