Forgiveness.
---------------------------

Forgiveness is the way he shivers in the darkness, on display for vengeful souls to see. When he doesn't move an inch, ignoring the way his body craves for food, water, rest-- with the body of his of which is stained with innocent's dust, unable to be free. When his sins are crawling up his back.

Only when he's admitted to all his sins can he then ask for forgiveness.
Only when he's an empty shell can he be let out again. Not when he's screaming or begging may he leave the clutches of who he's forsaken.

Atonement.

Atonement is when he bleeds. When he suffers. Atonement is how his HP slowly drains, one by one, until there's barely any left. Bleeding out is unacceptable. Bleeding out is pleading mercy to the souls he's caused ruin, and running out of life when those same souls are not done seeing him atone.

Atonement will be when others spit out cruel words, to the monster of who he has become.

Only when he's broken like a toy will he be able to wash away even just a sliver of guilt. Guilt of the piling up mounds of dust that lay due to his sinner's hands.

Deliverance.

Deliverance is the way his tears mix with the salty dust that stains him for years. Deliverance is when he cries out a puddle, laying in his own misery.

It is when he is called out by those who hold him, and is cast aside into the deep pits of shame.

He slowly sinks deeper and deeper, until his last breath is close to come, drowning in his sorrows, regrets, and despair.

And only then, will he be hauled back up, breaking out of the surface of the water, gasping for air. When he's soaked in his own guilt will he become a new man- reborn anew.

Penance.

Penance is every strike that hits him in battle. Every tear, and every drip.

When his body is inflicted with damage. He's sick for liking it, and the voices think so as well. Filthy. Dirty. Disgusting.

A sinner he is, and a sinner he will forever be.

But he only has so much to give away. And a broken body, cannot be given punishment. So he cries out, for the sweet, sweet mercy that he doesn't dare deserve, and is left to wait until another day for the burning pain to leave him in agony once more.

Clemency.
---------------------------

Clemency is when he's taken pity upon, when it's over for the time being.

His companions have given him mercy and love. He doesn't deserve either, but no matter how much he protests to being healed and cared for, they don't listen, showering him in praises and affection.

Their words wash away the voices in his head, and he is able to sleep peacefully for that night he lie with them.
