The school day wasn't all too long, as it was just the first day of school. She was debating wether or not to go to Charles' apartment later, as he was already on his way to Monza, Italy. His Teams Home race. She knew just how much this race meant to him and Carlos, and she was already excited how this would turn out. Today was only Monday, but they already had to go due to having two race weekends in a row, the first one being Zandvoort, Netherlands, which was yesterday.

Sadly, Charles had to DNF in that one, while Carlos had gotten P5. But, now that it was Ferrari's Home race, she was hoping for better results.

And those better results indeed were better results! Free practices went great for Carlos, getting P2 in the first and P1 in the other ones. He even got the pole position with Charles on P3 on Saturday!

Adeline was amazed as she heard the news from
her brother in more detail than she was able to see on TV. She also immediately talked to Noel, who was equally excited.

Sadly, Sundays race wasn't as good and Carlos finished on the third place. Still, Adeline was as proud as ever. She immediately texted her brother, congratulating him and Carlos for the results.

(I'm so sorry but i HAVE to timeskip a little bc i literally can't go on with this)

It was Monday, the third school week had begun. She's seen Mateo more often during lunch or breaks and he's been really nice to her. While the two started becoming friends, Noel and Mateo grew less and less fond of each other. They almost started growing some kind of rivalry. The Monegasque and Mexican hated each other to the guts, both seeing the other as an obstacle between themselves and Adeline.

The girl was completely oblivious to it and was happy with either boys by her side. Whenever the trio was together, she'd sit or stand in the middle of them while the boys either watched her or sent death glares at each other.

Noel has been trying to get her away from the new student, making more plans with her and inviting her out. It was clear to him that Mateo liked her, he just tried to stop the feeling from being mutual. Adi was always happy to hang out with Noel, never declining his offers of meeting up after school or sitting together at lunch. Arthur has been getting pretty suspicious of why his little sister kept meeting up with someone he didn't know yet, he thought she had a secret boyfriend. Not yet though.

For Adeline, she never knew who to hang out with. There would often be times when both, Mateo and Noel, asked her to hang out and she was left with a decision she couldn't make. It felt as if she was being pulled around, not being able to decide if she should say yes to the Monegasque or the Mexican boy. Noel was from Monaco, she could speak her native language with him which was easier for her, but at the same time she could practice her english by talking to the Mateo who can't speak french.

And then the fourth school week came around, then the fifth and after that the sixth. The last three weeks have been stressful. She had a lot of tests to make and she felt like she was getting closer to the short boy she's met six weeks ago. Noel kept trying to get her to hang out with him, but it more often occured that she decided for the Mexican instead.

The black haired boys heart broke each time his crush declined his offers. He found it unfair, he was there before Mateo, he was the one she knew longer and better and he was also the one she should choose instead of some random new guy that bumped into her and fell in love with her. Though, he also noticed the look in her eyes when she hung out with that particular boy.

She was starting to feel the same thing that Mateo felt. And it hurt Noel to watch it happen. He's been crushing on her for so long, and after all that time she just fell in love with a guy she barely knows.

Why are girls so complicated, he often thought to himself. Why can't she just like me back?

Noel let out a sigh as he sat alone on the lunch table, watching the pretty girl with that sweet personality fall in love with a guy she met six weeks ago. He looked at Mateo before looking down on himself. Was it the way he dressed, or was it the way he talked? How he acted? What did Mateo have that he didn't... He thought he did such a good job with gaining her trust, getting her to like him so much that she considered him her best friend. He went through so much with her, like when broke her foot when she tried skating for the first time and he helped her back towards his house, his mom immediately driving to the hospital with the girl. Or when she cried her eyes out when her cat died and also when she was upset for a couple of weeks when her second oldest brother moved out.

After he did all those things with her, how come she still choose some random guy that didn't do shit? The Monegasque dropped his head on his hand, his elbow leaning against the metal table of the school cafeteria. All he wanted was that she would see his feelings and maybe even start to like him back, but he knew that wouldn't happen. Not with Mateo around. Maybe she was happier with him, that would be okay too.

He just wanted her to be happy. That was his top priority. Her happiness and safety. And if that's what Mateo could give her, then he'd have to learn to accept it. Even if he couldn't move on.
