i have so many ideas for this book tbh
After the Qualifying, Charles had a few interviews. Everyone wanted to know who Charles and Arthurs little girl companion was, and Charles wasn't too sure what to say.
"She's my little sister. I prefer to keep her life private, including her name. All you need to know is that she's our sister." He answered the interviewers question. "And why have you decided to let everyone know about her now?" "Well it's mine and Arthurs home Grand Prix. She never wanted to go with us, but this year she agreed to come along." "Will she be seen at other races this season too?" "Uhh... i don't know, that's her decision. If she wants to, maybe."
The interviewer nodded and continued asking some other question. He tried to get Charles to reveal something about her, like her age for example, but Charles wouldn't budge. The interviewer knew better than to bother him about it and asked other questions.
Today was finally race day. The Formula two race has ended already and Arthur managed to get P4, one place higher than he was before.
Now it's time for the F1 race, and both, Arthur and Adeline, gave the older a hug, wishing him good luck. Adeline also told him to drive safe, as she always did.
The french girl sat down on the chair that the other mechanics had gotten her yesterday, watching the screen as everyone stopped at the gridlines, Charles proudly standing at P2.
The girl born in 2010 watched as the safety car came out and the formation lap started. The cars were swaying from side to side, warming their tires up. It didn't take long for all 20 men to stand on their spot again.
Then, the red lights turned on, one after one. The commentator spoke and it was lights out and away they go. Charles had a good start, while Max on P1 had a small struggle, which immediately led him to P4. The crowd cheered loudly as the Monegasque was leading his home race.
Adeline was so happy when she saw her brother leading the race, she couldn't help herself from smiling brightly. While Charles was leading, Carlos was close behind in P2. Max got to P3 but was about a second behind Carlos.
During the race, Charles barely had any complications. Sometimes Carlos would get really close, but he never overtook him. The best battle though was between Max and Carlos. They were head to head, trying to get P2, while Charles drove about 2.580 seconds ahead.
The battle for the second place was iconic, everyone hoping that Carlos could defend his place, which was hard with how much Max was pushing him. Carlos was inside at turn 8 before the two of them drove into the tunnel, right beside each other now. The screen showed how Carlos looked over to Max for a second before back at the track. Max was on his left, which meant he would be inside for turn 10. Carlos had to break earlier, leaving him behind Max. With just 0.011 behind Max, Carlos tried to get closer to him again.
For the most part of the race, Carlos and Max switched places. Sometimes Carlos was behind for some laps before overtaking him and staying at P2 for a few more laps until Max overtook him again.
Everyone stood up in their chairs as the checkered flag was out. The fans cheered loudly and the commentator was also very excited.
"And for the first time every, Charles Leclerc won his home Grand Prix!!" The commentator said as Charles crossed the finish-line. Charles's engineer spoke to him over the radio, congratulating him and telling him he had just won. The green eyed man screamed over the radio happily, the camera turning to the one behind his steering wheel. He was waving with one hand before covering his helmet with his hands as he couldn't believe he just won.
"Thank you. Thank you everyone." He said over the radio as he continued to drive. "You did great, Charles." Xavi told him.
While everyone on the brunettes side of the garage was focused on him, the Spaniards side cheered when he crossed the finish-line. Though, him and Max were so close, it looked as if they crossed the line at the same time for the human eye.
The photo result showed after a few moments an... Carlos was P2, a double podium for Ferrari!
A mechanic grabbed Adelines hand and led her to go see the podium, as well as to go see the top 3 while they got out of the car.
Just as they got there, the red Ferrari with the car-number 16 stopped in front of the middle sign with the number 1 on it. Soon after, the second Ferrari and the RedBull car stopped on either side of him.
Everyone got out of their car and Charles happily ran to his sister, giving her the biggest hug, lifting her up as he did. Adeline hugged him back as the Ferrari team gave him pats all over.
When Charles let go of her to thank his team and then congratulate the other two podium boys, Carlos walked over to the Team, all of them giving him pats and clapping their hands together. Carlos was pretty out of breath and sweated, but he didn't care. When he got to Adeline, she smiled up at him, receiving a smile back. He gave her a fist bump and then ruffled her hair before walking back to the small table looking thing where he had placed his helmet and gloves.
Watching the podium was a experience she hasn't had before. She smiled proudly as she looked at Charles standing on the highest step, looking back at her with a smile before waving at her. The cameras filmed their small interaction, but Adeline tried not to pay too much attention to that as she admired her big brother.
After Charles got handed his trophy, he held it proudly up in the air, people cheering for him. Leclerc stood with his hands behind his back, smiling proudly as the Monegasque anthem started playing. He was so proud to be back on the winners step and he didn't try to hide it. When the Monegasque anthem stopped, the Italian anthem played in honor of the team he drives for.
