Sorry for long time no chapter, but can we just talk about how absolutely gorgeous and stunning Charles looks in this pic (^) ⁉️⁉️
Today was October the 16th. Charles Leclerc's birthday. It usually would be a day that Adeline looks forward to, as she can't wait to buy him presents and celebrate with him. But this year is different. Because this year, he will be 26.
26 years old and that means he's older than Jules. Forever and always.
Adeline didn't like that fact. She hated it, how her brother was older than her father. And it'll always stay this way too.
It broke her heart to say the least, she thought she could never escape the thoughts about her father, not that she really wanted to anyway.
The difference between Adeline and Charles was that when Jules what mentioned, Charles was happy and it got a smile on his face, while for Adeline, she got sad. Knowing she will never know him the way Charles did, hurt a lot.
Her thoughts were interrupted by her phone vibrating. Adeline looked over, taking the device into her hand. It was a text from Noel.

__________________Adeline's heart melted. He always knew how to make her feel better. A smile formed on her face and she replied with a thank you and a heart, before the doorbell rang.
Only if she knew that Noel was blushing like a maniac at the reply he had gotten.
Putting her phone aside, Adi jumped off the bed to head to the door before Pascale could. Opening the door, she flashed a big smile in Charles direction, who happily greeted her.
"Bonjour, Charles!" She said as she opened the door wider for him, letting him inside as he ruffled up her hair. "Bonjour" He said back, taking off his shoes while his sister closed the door again.
"Pascale is in the kitchen!" The french girl told the Monegasque, who nodded and went along with her to the location.
"Where's Arthur?" Asked Charles as his brother was nowhere to be seen. "I don't know" Adeline shrugged, though she knew damn well where he was. "His shoes and keys aren't here, so maybe he's out or whatever."
Arthur was out to get Lorenzo, the oldest child of Pascale's. Lorenzo had his own life in a different country, away from racing. So, whenever he visited, one of his younger brothers would pick him up. Spoiler, it's mostly Arthur, because Charles was always busy. Or in this case, wasn't aware of his brothers visit.
"Charles, mon garçon, Bon anniversaire!" Pascale wished the 26 year old a happy birthday in her usual calm tone, smiling at her son lovingly as she cupped his face. "Merci maman" Charles closed his eyes and chuckled when his mother kissed his cheeks, just letting her do her thing.
"Mon garçon, 26..!" The blonde woman smiled at him lovingly, still cupping the boys face. "Maman.. don't make me feel old now" "Old? You're not old!" Told him the older Monegasque, laughing a little.
Just before they could say anything else, the front door opened and the other two Leclerc's strolled in. "Charles!" Said Arthur with a smile on his face, waving to the older man. "Arthur? Lorenzo??" The middle child looked at both his brothers confused, he wasn't expecting this to say the least.
"Hello!" He then said, a smile spreading on his own face as he went over to them to give them both a hug and kiss on the cheek.
"Happy 26th, Cha!" Said Lorenzo, ruffling his younger brothers hair. "You grow up too fast," He joked, which made all of them laugh.
"Come on," Said Pascale, "We have presents and cake for you" "Oh you didn't need-" But Adeline already took his hand and dragged him after his mother, to the kitchen.
The smile on the Monegasques face was unhide-able as his family sang happy birthday to him, a cake that his mother had made in front of him on the table with 27 candles in it. 26 For his twenty-six years of age, the extra one standing for luck.
When the cake was cut and the pieces eaten, Adeline was the first to hand him his present. Charles laughed a little at her eagerness, but happily opened the small present.
Inside was a red bucket-hat with bananas on them and a watch that looked oddly familiar. There was also a little note, and Charles looked at Adi before reading it for himself.

The watch is from dad, i think it would suit you. I hope you like the hat too.For the best (and my favourite but don't tell arthur) brother out there, love, Adeline <3
_________________________________"Aww.." Charles cooed and looked back at his little sister before giving her a hug. "Thank you" He mumbled into her hair.
Arthur was curious to see what the note said, but Charles made sure that he wouldn't see it. As they went on with the gifts and the longer the evening went, Adeline noticed the small detail of Charles putting on the wrist watch, that once belonged to her father and his godfather.
It suited him. It really did. He looked so much like Jules, it was almost scary. It hurt, but somehow it got her to smile as the memories of her father came back. She didn't know if she wanted to forget them or not. They were so beautiful, but they hurt like a bitch, knowing they were the last.
At the end of the day, Pascale saw her three sons and goddaughter sitting on the couch together. Lorenzo, the oldest, was just watching the TV and laughing while Charles, Arthur and Adeline played Mario Kart.
A sigh escaped the single mother and a smile formed on her lips. How she loved them. She loves Adeline like her daughter, but sometimes she wished for the French girl that the incident in 2014 didn't happen.
