And finally the day came; Christmas. It was the 24th of December, Lorenzo had already flown in yesterday and they were just waiting for Charles to show up. The 13 year old was so excited, she could barely contain it. Every 10 minutes she would look out the window to see if his car might be there yet. Arthur found it quite amusing how she kept pacing around and asking if Charles would be there soon. How did he even still believe that he was her favorite?

When there was finally a knock on the door, Adeline was the first to rush towards it and quickly swung it open, almost jumping at her brother to hug him. The two were giggling and laughing as the Monegasque wrapped his arms around her in a hug.

Lifting the younger up a little, he walked them back inside the house, closing the door with his foot behind himself.

The older yelled a greeting into the house, getting some shouted back at him from different locations in the house.

Once Adi was put down and they stopped hugging, Arthur appeared in the hallway. "Hey Char" said the younger Monegasque as the other followed his two siblings into the house.

The two brothers talked a bit as Adeline was just listening and being happy that she got to spend time with her brothers.

At one point of the day, Pascale excused herself to go get some more groceries she ran out of and left her three sons to look after their little sister.

It was no big deal, Adeline and Arthur were already playing Uno together after Lorenzo and Charles completely destroyed them at it.

When Adeline finally beat Arthur, he let out a annoyed groan. "This game is shi-" Charles gave him a glare. "Stupid. It's stupid." Arthur corrected himself as Lorenzo and Adi were snickering.

"You're just bad" The girl said with a snicker as the other rolled his eyes and nudged her shoulder.

As the conversation went on, Charles randomly asked. "So, Adi... Arthur told me you like someone?" He said, looking intrigued. Her face immediately heated up, and she shook her head. "What?! No!"

Arthur grinned and Charles couldn't help it either. "Oh come on, that reaction says otherwise." "I do not like anyone!" "Arthur told me everything" "What did he tell you?!"

Adeline groaned and pushed Arthur annoyed who just laughed.

"The guy you were hanging out with, on halloween." "How do you even remember that??" She whined.

"Come on, just tell the truth. Aren't you a little young for a crush? Or a boyfriend?" Adeline was in disbelief. Noel was NOT her boyfriend!!

"Oh my god, what the- He's not my boyfriend!" "Then what is he?" "A friend??" Adi said as if it was obvious, though Charles and Arthur still looked suspicious.

"Yeah, sure. He looked at you like you're the only girl in the world" Arthur chimed in. "What?? We're friends, can't he look at me?" "You were holding hands" "I was showing him where to go-" "And your matching costumes?" "I told you, we're friends!"

The two guys kept bothering her about it and she let out an annoyed whine, leaning into the oldests side. "Lorenzooo" She whined to tell him he should get them to shut up somehow.

He got the hint and put an arm over her shoulder. "Come on, guys. She's 13, let her be." Lorenzo was the voice of reason, his two younger brothers looking at him as if he was an alien.

"But-" "No, if she says he's her friend then he is just her friend. And if she doesn't want to talk about it with you, which i understand because you two are so nosy, then she won't." He told them again. The younger Monegasques let out a sigh of defeat and some grumbles, but they eventually agreed to stop.

And then it was finally time! The Christmas food was on the table and the five of them had a good time eating and talking. Lorenzo talked about his life away from Monaco, Arthur explained his difficulties in F2 where Charles sometimes chimed in to give him advice, and Charles just talked about what he was hoping for next season and his contract extension.

Adeline mostly kept to herself and just ate in silence while listening to her brothers. She didn't really have anything to share, after all.

Christmas was beautiful, Noel has texted her, wishing her and her family a merry Christmas, which she did end up telling them. Arthur and Charles weren't very convinced, but Lorenzo and Pascale were pleased.

The gifts were great and everyone was happy, which just added to the fun.

Before they even knew it, New Years Eve already came around. Adeline and Noel had met up, found themselves a pretty spot at a park and watched the fireworks in the air.

Though, Noel would be lying if he said he was able to look at the sky without any glances at the girl beside him. She looked so stunning, admiring the sky as the sound of firework exploding filled the air.

He couldn't help but stop and stare, she was breathtaking. The Monegasque couldn't deny any of his feelings for her anymore. He had truly fallen in love with her, how could he not?

All he wanted was to pull her close and hug her, to tell her everything he felt. But he didn't. It would've been a stupid move. He wasn't blind, he could see that no matter what he'd do, he would still be the second choice, one step behind and stay in second place.
