Today was October 31st. Halloween. Adelines favorite holiday. Well, after New Years. She loved to dress up, it was just too much fun making her own costumes and deciding what she should go as.

She decided to do a matching costume with Noel, as they were both so excited for this for several months now. It was quite a good idea, in their opinion.

Adeline got herself a Pokémon onesie, which happened to be Gengar, some purple shadow Pokémon or whatever, while Noel went as a Pokemon Trainer. He dressed up as that Ash guy from the series, they did look quite alike to be honest.

Of course, they were gonna go around asking for candy, so they had to meet up. Adeline wanted to just go out and get the bus so they could meet up where they always did, but Arthur was telling her it was dangerous at night and she shouldn't go alone. So, she asked if Noel could just come to her house....

Might not be the best idea, considering her brother was there; who was already so protective of her. He always used to tell her "no boys" too, yet, her only friends were two boys.... Okay, that sounds kins like a pick me but the girls thought she was weird and the other boys told her to be more ladylike, so she was the odd one out anyways.

"Who are you even going out with?" Asked the Monegasque as he looked at his French little sister. "Just a friend" She shrugged, waiting for the knock on the door or the ring of it's bell.

"Maybe your friend could come inside? It's a bit early and i don't want him or her freezing outside while waiting" Pascale requested in her usual kind tone, a smile on her face. Adelines heart stood still for a second there. No way.. Noel would really have to meet Arthur then, and knowing him, Arthur would probably turn this into a interrogation.

"Sure.." Adeline said with a nervous smile, making her brother raise an eyebrow. The older didn't say anything about his suspicions though and just looked back on his phone.

It took about another 10-15 minutes until finally the doorbell rang and Adeline instantly jumped up.

She opened the door just a bit, enough so she could peek her head through but not enough so Arthur or Pascale could see anything.

"Heey.." She said awkwardly even though the slightly older Monegasque flashed her a smile. "Hey Adi! Ready to go?" He asked. "Uhm... actually.."

"Pascale asked if you wanted to come inside as its still quite early?" "Oh" Noel awkwardly rubbed his neck. "Uh.. sure." He eventually agreed.

"Just- Arthur might be a little weird, just ignore him or whatever" She told the black haired boy before opening the door for him, letting him in.

He took off his shoes after looking for Adelines approval and followed her into the house. It was a little awkward, but he just had to be nice and respectful, not that he ever was any different,

"Bonjour" he greeted as he entered the room, Arthur immediately looking up. As he saw the boy, he looked him up and down before looking at Adeline. He didn't say anything, not even greeting the boy back. At that point, Adi knew she'd have to go through a lecture after this...

"Oh, hello!" Pascale greeted back with a warm smile, walking over and kissing both his cheeks as a greeting. It was a french thing, i guess. Noel didn't mind it after all.

"You are.... Noel, right? The boy that took Adeline with him when she broke her foot?" Noel smiled when Pascale remembered him, his mother has met up with her when they got back from the hospital. "Yeah, that's me" He replied. "Thank you, i know it's been a while but that was very nice of you, taking her with you to the hospital i mean"

"It was nothing, really" He replied sheepishly, it was clear Adis mother liked him. "Would you like anything? Like... water or something?" The girl asked awkwardly, looking at her best friend. Thank god, he agreed and she took his wrist to lead him to the kitchen.

Arthur was watching like a spy, his gaze on her hand taking his wrist as they walked together to the kitchen. He found that very suspicious, thinking this boy might be her boyfriend?! Oh, he's definitely snitching to Charles.

Before Arthur even realized it, the two teenagers disappeared in Adelines room, only coming out when it was time to go trick or treating.

It was very fun, to say the least. They laughed and laughed as they walked around, scaring kids and getting candy.

People liked their costumes very much, some even giving them extra candy. Adeline and Noel took pictures together too; they came out fantastic!

There was one were Noel was holding the phone, one hand over his eyes as if he was looking for something, while Adeline stood in the background with her Gengar Onesie and the hood of it on.

It was almost like a chaotic photoshoot, but they had fun to say the least.

They got lots and lots of candies, things they could barely finish this year. At least theres something for everyone?

Noel was so kind to walk her back home, giving her a hug as a goodbye before they waved at each other and he walked away. Adeline opened the front door of her house, entering it as well. Instantly making her way into the kitchen, she emptied her bag of sweets.

Thats when Arthur came in, stealing one and immediately licking it so she wouldn't try to get it back. He always did it, knowing Adeline found it absolutely disgusting.

Then, the older opened the lollipop and stuck it into his mouth. "Who was that" He mumbled through the candy. "My friend.", the younger replied. "Didn't look like it to me."
