When Aaron and Vivi come back inside the room gets quiet for a few seconds until the waitress comes to take our orders.
Thank goodness.
Ronny seems very upset after talking to his sister, who won't even look at our side of the table.
I feel awful.
Looking down at my hands as conversations pick up again, I can't help but wish I was alone in bed so I could ball my eyes out. I could deal with maybe his cousin not liking me, or one of his aunts or uncles, but his sister?
Without his parents in the picture his siblings are his closest family. And I ruined it.
I feel Ronny's hand on my thigh, trying to comfort me. I look to him and give him a small smile, then look back to my hands.
She makes a few more comments on how I'm a gold digger or how I'm a slut, little stuff like that.
Ronny almost erupts at her each time, but I put my hand on his thigh and silently beg him to just sit. Owen snaps at her a few times though.
Luckily the rest of dinner goes by quickly and I manage to stay pretty quiet throughout it, not starting any more drama.
"It was so nice to meet you dear." His Aunt Nellie gives me a hug as we leave. I say goodbye to everyone and can't freaking wait to leave this place.
When Ronny and I step outside of the restaurant a deafening silence washes over us.
Once we get back to the room it's even worse. The car ride was silent and now I am trying to fight back tears in the room, feeling Aaron's presence behind me.
"Addie." He says, making me turn to face him.
"I'm sorry." I say to him.
"Don't apologize. I will talk to her." He says, pulling me in to a hug, "I am sorry." He tells me.
It's not his fault. Even Ronny said he thought I was a b-word when we first met. I'm just unlikable.
"I'm gonna change." I pull away from him, tears down my cheeks now. I feel pathetic for crying, but I don't care.
He just nods and I go to the bathroom to change. I put on pajama shorts and his big black sweatshirt.
Once I'm done, I come back to the room and get into bed while Ron gets ready for bed. I just sit and stare at the wall.
After a few minutes he gets into bed next to me but I don't move.
I feel so freaking guilty for ruining the night.
"Come spoon me." He says, and my attention is completely on him.
"Really?" I say, my voice hoarse from holding back crying all night.
He nods slightly, then let's me wrap my arms around him and nuzzle my head into the back of his neck.
"Isn't this nice?"
"It's fine."
All of the drama with his sister and the stress of meeting his family melts away as I nuzzle into him.
Just be happy with him.

"Are you here to babysit me?" I ask Owen, who is sitting beside me at the pool.
He just showed up to our room this morning and requested me and him have a pool day. Aaron has work during the afternoon, so I bet he told Owen to look after me.
