Adelina Celine Torres
"Oh my gosh" I hear gasps when I step out from the closet, my friends looking at me in my dress- all ready- for the first time.
"You look unreal" Wendy says, a huge smile on all of their faces.
My dress is a long white dress with intricate designs all over and a mid cut front that in my opinion makes me look really good—not to be that person who compliments themself or anything.
My hair is in two small braids that tie together in the back of my head in an almost half up half down kind of thing, and the down part is curled loosely. My makeup is light, just concealer, blush, highlighter, mascara, and lip gloss. Bella helped me do it, since she is insane at all things makeup.
I feel pretty.
Not like when I get ready only to see myself as a girl who desperately tries to be pretty just to me stood up by naturally pretty girls—but actually pretty.
I look at myself in the mirror and truly believe for the first time that I am beautiful. Not that my hair should be a more vibrant blonde or that my brown eyes would be prettier if they were blue like my sister's--but that I was truly beautiful.
Is this what Avery walks around feeling like?
Oh shoot- I completely forgot about Avery.
I sent her an invite and a plane ticket, but she never responded. Is it bad I am relieved? Having close girl friends makes me wish Avery and I could be like that, but deep down I know she has a raw and honest dislike of me. If not hatred.
"Okay pretty girl I packed your reception outfit. Are we forgetting anything?" Phoebe asks, and everyone starts looking around. Alyssa throws my makeup bag into the bag for 'touch ups' later, and I just watch as everyone else is scavenging for anything we could've forgotten/
"Ah vail!" Vivi then says, fishing a mesh vail from a bag. She walks over to me and gives me a warm smile, helping to place it on the mid/back of my head so it drapes down my back. It has intricate floral designs all across the thin mesh with classy almost unnoticeable sparkles that you only catch a glimpse of under direct light.
"Now you're ready" she tells me, a smile on her face. I look at her and smile back, eternally grateful for how we have been able to come to be friends.

"I can't believe my little sister is getting married before me" Nick teases me as I hug him.
He got in this morning and is here to walk me down the aisle. I would ask Papa, but well, I don't want him here.
Is that bad?
My heart is racing as Nick and I are in a small room, able to see chairs being filled by talking people through a small window.
The venue is amazing. Several rows of chairs face towards a beautiful overhang where I will stand as I get married. There is a porch-like wrap around three of the sides, giving an overview of the ocean and greek architecture. The sun is setting just to the side of the view, allowing for a dazzling sunset without the harsh brightness of the sun head-on.
The blue dome church has beautiful architecture, a large cross set up behind where the priest who is officiating the wedding is standing.
I can hear chatter from all of the guests, and just continue to watch outside as I fiddle with a silver bracelet on my wrist.
"Hey, kid" Nick says, turning my attention to him. "They're about to start, you ready?" He asks, and as he does I hear light music start to play and see the flower girl- Owen's little step sister- walking down the aisle.
