~ Out of the ordinary ~

* Valentina P.o.v *

We get in the classroom & the first thing I see is Avery flirting with Declan. I roll my eyes, & I go to sit down in my seat since the bell was about to ring. Sometimes I just think I'm a goodie two shoes during class. As Delia & I talk together Declan stops talking to Avery & turns around in his seat so he can look at me. I stop in the middle of my sentence & I catch him staring at me with wondering eyes. I give him a annoyed look & just come out with whats on my mind.

"Can I help you?" He raises his eyebrows. "Geez, who ate your bowl of sunshine today, thundercloud?" Delia & I burst out in laughter, & me even more because I just saw a quote like that two nights ago on Instagram. I'm surprised I haven't been on their for a awhile. But when he hears us crack up he can't help but smile, & wink at me. Oh god why does he have to look at me with those dreamy blue eyes of his. Come on Valentina you like Marcos not Declan. To you he's only eye candy. & with that I take my eyes off of his & pay attention to Mr.Crenshaw's lesson.

* Lunch bell *

I'm about to go to lunch but before I do I'm just going to put my books in my locker. Less weight for my satchel. Then when I close it I look forward to see a crowd forming, is something about to happen? My curiousness gets the best of me & I rush to see whats happening. I get in front of the crowd & wait to see what happens.

It's Delia & Avery arguing & yelling at each other. I didn't know they knew each other? But if anything I swear if Avery swings at Delia I'll feel sorry for her because I know people will be like let your friends fight their own battles but I'm sorry, no one is going to ever put a hand on my best friend/sister without them getting hurt in the process.

"Your such a slut, seriously get a life girl. & you better leave Valentina alone or I swear-" Avery stares at Delia & rolls her eyes. "You swear what? You won't have the guts to do anything! Your just a pathetic ugly redhead. It's true what they say, redheads do have fiery temp-"

Delia grits her teeth & before Avery can finish what she was about to say, Delia clocks her right in the face.

Avery holds her nose from bleeding on the ground. Delia smirks "& it's true what they say about blondes, they are stupid. Because if you were smart then you wouldn't have said what you just said." Avery shakes her head slowly. "You don't know who your messing with bitch, this isn't ove-" Delia gets fed up with her & grabs her shirt collar & whispers in her ear. But you can still hear her since everyone is quiet, to see what happens next.

"Oh, I know exactly who I'm messing with. I'm not afraid of you or even your little cheer crew, got that? So I actually do think this is over. Because if I were you I certainly wouldn't want to know what happens to myself next." Then Delia lets her go & she smiles at Avery. "Oh & make sure you leave Valentina alone, because she's been through way too much you won't even understand. & Besides I don't think you want me to break your nose even more." Avery gulps & nods her head. I've never seen her this scared or frightened. I smile because now maybe she'll finally leave me alone.

I walk to Delia & smile at her. " Del, that was amazing, you kicked ass. Literally." She laughs. "Only for you sis, only for you." Then we walk to lunch not having a care in the world. We eat then we talk about what we should do on the weekend since its Friday. Finally! I can get out of this place of misery for two days!

While we walk to our lockers after lunch we laugh. Just seeing Avery scared like that made me so relieved & all happy inside that my best friend stood up for me. I told her about me getting picked on but she said she never thought it was that bad. So that's why she told Avery off. But to me seeing Avery getting punched by my innocent kind, caring, & loving best friend was just a bonus. Delia isn't most of the time like that, only if you get her pissed off over the limit. Which for her is hardly at all, because she can take a lot, she just ignores the people. But when it's about her friends or family then it gets personal. That's one of the things that I love about her. She stands up for the people she loves.

We finally get to our lockers & I put my satchel in because now we're about to have gym. Besides, I have my gym clothes in my locker in the gymnasium. I look back & Delia's walking the other way around the corner so I go down that hallway to see where my best friend went. When I turn the corner theirs no one to be found so I get kind of weirded out. I think I'm just being paranoid so I keep on going down the hallway.

But all of a sudden someone literally grabs me, puts me against a wall then shuts the door. I'm about to scream when the stranger puts their hand over my mouth. "Shh!" It's pitch black & I can't see anything. Who is this person?
