"Excuse me? Miss, wake up!" I hear a faint worried voice. "Ms.Scott, are you okay?" I wake up, wide-eyed to see myself in a pool of blood. I look down at my wrists, did I? Did I cut myself? "Where's my mom? Where's my little sister!?" Oh god please let them be okay.

"They're both alright! They're both in the hospital waiting for you to come." I'm being picked up by the paramedics & being put in the truck. This can't be happening. My mom.. Didn't she get in a car accident? What in the world happened? I'm so confused, god please help me.

We get to the hospital & I fall in a deep sleep since they give me a banana to eat since I said I was hungry. I wake up to my name being called by a familiar voice "Valentina! Valentina, please wake up! Please!" I flutter my eye lids & my eyes land on my mother. "Mom?" "Yes sweetie, it's me!" Her eyes are watering. "Mommy what happened? I thought you got in a car accident? I came with Sofie to see you in the hospital!" I'm so confused, what happened to me? My head hurts. I just want to get out of here.

"Baby, I didn't get in a cat accident & Sofie wasn't with you.. You got in a bad car accident. And ..." She sighs for a second. Looking at me with her worried blue eyes. "They said after you got in the car accident you-"

"Mom I what? What happened to me & why are my wrists cut up? Did I hurt myself?" My mom looks at my wrists & kisses them. "It happened when I was still at work & your baby sister was at daycare. You were depressed & you grabbed the razor & slice your wrists. then you went in your car & drove as fast as you could then you went over a bridge. You nearly drowned & hit your head really hard, since you didn't have your seatbelt on you went through the windshield & the impact was so hard on you it knocked you out. It happened two days ago. You slept a whole two days and a half. That's why I was so worried. They said you were supposed to be in a coma. & after you woke up from it you would be different."

I look at my mom, so confused I don't know where she's going with this.. "How different?" My mom looks at me & just stares. Holding both of my hands in hers. "Baby, they said that you would lose your memory & would only remember Sofia & I .. You would have amnesia for the rest of your life. I'm so sorry baby, I'm just glad your okay." Then she hugs me, while I hug her. I'm in shock, my mouth wide open, I close my eyes. Blinking my tears away, I sob in my mothers crook of her neck. This can't be happening to me. But theirs one thing for sure, the only people I remember & are thinking about is my little sister and my mom. At least I have them.

How my life is going to be for me now on? Only the future could tell. Like what my mother says, today is history, tomorrow is a mystery.
