The bodyguard

I had lots to do in school. The prize I had paid for winning Melodifestivalen, I guess. Wille had however been keeping up with his schoolwork, so he had decided that he was going to help me with mine. Or at least make sure I was doing my schoolwork. I did not know if it was of any help, because he was more like distracting me by being cute. We were sitting in a group room in the library. I had my laptop and a few textbooks in front of me. Wille sat across from me reading a book for english. Outside the door, there was a bodyguard. It was not Wille's. It was mine. Apparently I was in need of one now. It felt weird. Lucky me that Wille was used to it already. The bodyguard had shown up on Monday morning at breakfast and had said that he would follow me around, making sure I was safe until Eurovision. Like anyone here would hurt me. Hillerska was a small school, and Bjärstad was a small town. I knew pretty much everyone there.

"I am finished with my essay for biology now," I said. Wille looked up at me from his book. Pride and prejudice. Poor boy. It was a miracle that he had not fallen asleep from boredom yet.

"Do you want a good job kiss now?" Wille said teasingly. I nodded. He grinned. "Come here then." I went over and sat down on his lap. Wrapped my arms around his neck. Slowly I kissed him. He kissed me back.

"I wish we could go on a walk or do whatever, just you and me," I whispered in his ear. "But that won't happen as long as I have a bodyguard after me." He grinned.

"Lucky you, you happen to have an expert on sneaking out without bodyguards right here," he said. I laughed. "One of the many skills I have developed during the time I was a prince." I kissed him a little more.

"I love you," I said. "You know that, right?" He smiled.

"Oh, I know. You know that you have said that you are going to marry me one day, right?" Wille said. I swallowed. That must have been something I said while drunk the previous weekend.

"Did I tell you that?" I asked. I felt warm. Embarrassed. If there was a mirror in the group study room, I would most probably see myself blush.

"Yeah. Before falling asleep when you were drunk you told me that one day you were going to marry me," he said. He pulled me closer and kissed me once again.

"But that's embarrassing baby," I said. He was grinning. So he found it funny, then.

"I think it was the cutest thing ever, Simon. And I will make you live by that promise one day," he replied. I caressed his face with my fingers. Looked deep into his blue pretty eyes.

"Yeah?" I said.

"Definitely," he said. "Do you want me to teach you some tricks on how to sneak away from bodyguards now?" I nodded and kissed him a last time before we went back to our dorm.

"How many windows have you sneaked in and out of, Wille?" I asked my boyfriend, who turned out to be the master in cheating bodyguards he told me he was.

"Enough to be an excellent teacher and teach you every trick in the book," he replied. We went down to the lake hand in hand. I had missed it so much. Just being the two of us, doing just anything that was not school or work. We did not have to do anything fancy. Just a walk or watching a series on a computer in bed were the moments I longed for when I had a lot to do.

"Mom wants me and Sara to come to dinner this weekend. Would you like to join us?" I asked Wille.

"On Saturday?" he replied. I nodded. "I would love to." We smiled at each other and while walking, he kissed me. We giggled and kept going down the little path in the forest. When we had reached the little lake where we usually practised rowing on, we held each other close. Kissed. Flirted and talked. Then we sneaked back inside our dorm, without my bodyguard even knowing we were out.
