The week passed slowly. Each day packed full of pain and regret. But she got up all the same, went to her classes, slept through the night,  let her busy schedule distract her from the thoughts in her head.

She'd spoken to Evan again. Not about anything in particular. She was just checking in, making sure he was okay. He was her brother after all. No matter what his best friend did to her, he was still her brother.

"Evan." She called through his door, knocking on it lightly. It was early in the morning but they had a game. The first game of the year. Against hufflepuff. And if she didn't wake him up he wouldn't wake up at all.

A muffled noise came through the door so she knocked harder. She heard footsteps and then the door opened.

"Bella?" It was Barty. She knew there was a chance that he would be the one that stood on the other side but it was still a shock to hear him say her name again.

"Is Evan awake?" She didn't want to talk to him, she didn't even want to see him.

"No not yet. You know he takes his time-"

"Can I come in?" She didn't have the energy to put up with him talking to her like they were fine again.

"Sure." He stepped to the side and she walked in, straight past him and towards Evan's bed, "I never meant to hurt you Bella."

"I don't want to hear it. I don't care." She grabbed her brothers shoulders, shaking them until his eyes opened. "Get up." The look he gave her nearly made her laugh, but her mood stopped it.

"It's so early." He groaned, covering his eyes.

"I swear to merlin Evan. I will drag you out of this bed if you don't get up."

"Fine. No need for that." Yawning, he pulled himself up and stumbled into the bathroom, hopefully to get ready.

"Bella.." Fucking Barty.

"What do you want from me ?" If it was forgiveness he wasn't gonna get it.

"I just want us to be back to normal." He reached for her hand but she stepped backwards so he couldn't touch her.

"Don't say that likes it my fault we aren't. I didn't do anything wrong."

"I know. But I swear I didn't mean to do it Bella."

"You don't get to call me that." She saw the hurt flash through his eyes, "You did this to yourself Barty."

"That's not fair-"

"You want to know what's not fair? The shit you put me through. The fucking pain I had to endure because of you. That's not fair. Having to call me by my actual name really isn't that bad. My friends call me Bella. You aren't my friend." She took a step toward the door, this was becoming too much for her to deal with.

"You gonna run back to your boyfriend?" He wasn't asking genuinely. He was just being rude.

"He's not my boyfriend. But I'd pick him over you any day." She said it because she knew it would hurt him, and maybe that was cruel, but it wouldn't even come close to the heartbreak he had inflicted upon her.

"Yeah and I'm sure he'd already been over you."

"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"You know what it means Bella."

"What do you not understand about not calling me that?" She was shouting now, if she got any louder Evan would hear, and he didn't need that kind of stress right before a game.
