Bella walked through the open door into a common room filled with red. It could have been a crime scene.

Unfortunately, it wasn't.

It was just a shit ton of gryffindor banners and anything else that had that signature colour. It didn't take long for people to look at her, staring, giggling.

All things she was used to. She let it slide, obviously. She wasn't going to hurt somebody just because they laughed at her, but if her brother was here, he would.

"Bella!" A voice she recognised called out, turning her head slowly, she found James. Sat with the rest of the marauders and a few girls she knew of. Along with an older boy. She'd seen him around school but never heard his name.

She walked over to them, ignoring the people whistling at her. They were like a bunch of wild animals.

"Potter." She huffed, falling onto the seat beside him.

"You look cool as fuck." Sirius said from beside her, feeling the material of her dress and nodding his hand in approval.

"Glad you approve Black." The outfit he was complimenting was similar to what she'd worn to other parties. But she had to make a statement coming to a place like this. It was an emerald green satin dress that just about reached to the middle of her thighs, the neckline wasn't bad, it showed a bit, but not too much.

Her favourite part was the fishnet tights and the boots that added at least a few inches onto her height. Her makeup and hair made just as much of a statement as her clothes. The eyeliner was bold and her eyes shimmered green. It made her feel pretty. For the first time in what felt like years.

"How was practice?" James asked, handing over a bottle full of what looked like firewhisky. She took it, glad to have some alcohol in her system if she was going to make it through this party.

"Fine. What do you guys do at these.. parties?"

"Party." Sirius answered.

"No shit sherlock." He just laughed at her response.

"Dancing, drinking games. We can do whatever you want." James replied for him.

"Do your buddies talk?" She asked, referring to Remus and Peter sat across from them.

"They're just a bit shy." Sirius says, making Remus glare at him.

"No I'm not. I just don't like this kind of thing. Prick." Remus muttered the last bit under his breath.

"Feisty. That's cute." She says, standing up and walking up to him, "Dance?" He shakes his head almost immediately, "Come on, it'll give you a break from these idiots."

"Whatever." He takes her hand and lets her pull him onto the dance floor with everyone else.

"So why are you friends with them? You don't seem quite as insufferable." It's a compliment coming from Bella.

"They're alright really. Yeah they can be awful, but they're my best mates." She nods her head, dancing with him until the song ends.

"You know, if you lot didn't hate us quite so much, I'd have brought Rodolphus here with me." She has a weird feeling in her chest, like she misses him. If she wasn't here she'd be with him right now.

"I don't hate you for your house."

"But you judge me. And if not me then you definitely judge my brother." He looked at her cluelessly, how did he not know her brother? "Evan Rosier." Considering everyone at this school referred to each other as their last names you'd think he'd have figured that one out already.
