EVER POV

I'm all alone in the forest. I can't see anything but the black outlines of the trees that spread out for miles. I'm sitting by myself at the trunk of a big tree, just waiting for someone. But who? I can't remember. I know that it's someone extremely important. But I can't think of their name or their face. How did I even get here? I am just filled with an overwhelming sense of longing and sadness. I hear a twig snap. I turn my head around instinctually, only to see the pale yellow half moon. I thought for sure there was someone behind me, watching me. I feel a heaviness in my chest, like a giant wave of horrible air in my lungs, unable to breathe properly. I look up again, this time seeing a shadow of a figure in front of me. But it's distorted, like a glitch. The figure is saying something. But I can't hear it. What did it say? 'Ever?' Oh, that's my name. I try to ask them what they want, but nothing is coming out of my mouth. That heaviness in my chest is even stronger now. I can barely breathe. All I see is their mouth, trying to read their lips.
