Epilogue

                  "HELLO, Ranjiru? I can't hear you! Hello? Where are you?" Nari ends the call when no one is answering on the other line.

She is standing in front of the Sumida river waiting for Ranjiru to come. He invited her to watch the sumidagawa fireworks festival. But he went to a business meeting first and let her come there alone. Wearing her dark blue floral kimono. They decided to wear traditional attire. 

When the first fireworks blew up she decided to walk farther to find a less crowded spot. Some people are sitting on the river banks. She finds an empty spot and sits on the grass. As the explosion starts to echo, the beauty of fireworks spread out it the sky.

"Finally I found you! Sabi ko sa'yo hintayin mo ako sa entrance." Ngumiti lang siya kay Ranjiru at tumabi na rin ito sa kanya.

"Hey? Did you intentionally  wear a blue yukata?"

"No, but my instinct says so..."

Hinawakan nito ang kamay niya. "Wait, may dala akong camera. Mang-selfie muna tayo. Para remembrance sa first date natin bilang mag-asawa."

Umakbay muna sa kanya si Ranjiru bago nito pinindot ang shutter ng camera. Sumabay din ang isang firework display kaya nakuhanan din nila iyon.

"It's so beautiful."

"But it's more beautiful because you're with me."

"Well! I can't do something about that," yabang niya rito.

Sumandal siya sa balikat ni Ranjiru habang pinanunuod nila ang mga fireworks display. "Remember the first time we watched fireworks together? Birthday ni Mama? Naalala mo?"

"Yes, that was the first time I saw you crying because of your family. And that is also the time you officially agree to be friends with me. But look at us now! We're married."

"I love getting married to you. Kaso baka magalit sila sa'tin dahil hindi natin sila sinama sa kasal natin..."

Hinawakan niya ito sa kamay. "I doubt it! baka nga matuwa pa sila kapag nalaman nila na kasal na tayo. And besides we will be going to have our church wedding there next year. So don't worry."

"Nari?"

"Yes?"

"No choice kasi ako eh,"

"What? Napipilitan ka lang?" Napatayo ito kaya hinawakan niya ulit ito para umupo sa tabi niya.

"I'm just kidding! But yeah, being married has a lot of pressure. I mean people will expect us to have kids in the early years of marriage."

Nari saw how worried her husband was. "Don't worry I'm not going to pressure you to have kids. I can wait until you're ready. I wouldn't stop you from doing anything you want."

"You know what? You made me want to marry you again. Why are you always agreeing with me? Ayaw mo ba making a possessive husband? Yung palagi nasusunod."

"Ha? di ba ikaw nga yung may ayaw ng possessive na lalaki? Pero ayoko lang pilitin ka sa mga bagay na hindi ka pa handa. And remember this, whether we have kids or not I will still love you. I love you as you are alone. And I'm content with you."

Bahagya niya itong pinalo. "Ano ba! Stop trying to be the ideal Anime guy for me!" kinikilig na sagot niya.

"Hentai?"

"Shut up! But kidding aside. I'm ready to have kids after 3 or 4 years," paninigurado niya rito.

"Sabi mo yan, ah? Wala ng bawian!"
