𝑨𝑭𝑻𝑬𝑹 the battle was over, Lia stood behind Queen Amidala and Obi-Wan as the large, grand cruiser of the Supreme Chancellor landed in the courtyard. Captain Panaka and twenty troops were guarding Nute and Rune.

"Now, Viceroy, you're going to have to go back to the Senate and explain all this." Queen Amidala said

"I think you can kiss your trade franchise goodbye." Captain Panaka added

The main ramp of the cruiser opened as Obi-Wan and Captain Panaka led the Viceroy and his assistant towards the ship. The Grand Chancellor Palpatine and several Republic guards descended the walkway, followed by Yoda and several other Jedi masters. Chancellor Palpatine bowed to the Queen.

"Congratulations on your election, Chancellor." Queen Amidala congratulated

"Your boldness has saved our people, Your Majesty. It's you who should be congratulated. Together we shall bring peace and prosperity to the Republic." Palpatine said

Qui-Gon's funeral took place a couple of hours after they recovered his body, pierced by a lightsaber, from the Naboo power generator. Lia stood behind Queen Amidala and Obi-Wan as they watched Qui-Gon's body burning.

A flash of anger rose up deep inside her at the thought of Qui-Gon's murder. She stared into the fire and wished that whoever had killed her favorite Jedi, was in that blazing pit of hell instead of the old man she once knew.

Bells rang throughout the center of Naboo, the square of Theed. Confetti of light pink, baby blue, lavender, and turquoise was being thrown around by the delighted children and their relieved parents. The danger had passed, and all was right in the galaxy again. Standing proudly on the steps of the palace, was Queen Amidala, looking absolutely breathtaking and radiant in her ivory satin gown that seemed to make her glow in the bright sunshine.

Gungan soldiers who had just returned from battle marched down the Center of Theed in unison with each other, blowing their native trumpets in a celebratory cheer for the battle that was won.
Standing along the steps with Queen Amidala were Governor Sio Bibble, Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Lia (who stood cloaked behind the Queen), and the rest of the handmaidens, also cloaked behind the Queen.

Riding further ahead on a Kaadu, Boss Nass and Jar Jar Binks grandly made their way to the steps of the palace to receive the one thing Queen Amidala had promised them when she begged for their help: Peace.

After they finally made it to the edge of the steps and Jar Jar managed to limp his way out of his saddle, with the assistance of other Gungans, that is, Boss Nass excitedly stamped over the steps, heading further and further up to where Queen Amidala stood.

The Queen stepped forward to address Boss Nass as she turned to the Governor, who handed her the Globe of Peace. Carefully picking up the Globe, she gracefully walked over to the leader of the Gungans, who had made it up the stairs and was eagerly waiting for the symbol of peace to be delivered to his hands. As she gently passed over the Globe, and the children's choir grew louder in the background, Boss Nass, in a state of pure elation, raised the Globe of Peace high into the air.

"Peace!" Boss Nass exclaimed, happily

Anakin turned his head and smirked at Lia who smiled back, happily. And just for a moment, everything was right, and nothing could go wrong as the distant sounds of the bustling parade floated up all around them.

Unfortunately, this peace would only last another ten years.
