It was another miserable and gloomy day. It was the last day off.
I couldn't help but think what a great week this has been. No work, hanging out with friends and I even got to date my crush.
Anyways, I was just heading for the cafeteria when I saw Eyes.
"Hi Eyes!" I said.
She looked up at me, a bit startled. She had a confused expression on her face before turning into her usual happy one.
"Oh- hi!" She exclaimed.
"How's my new gf?"
"Huh- what- oh- yeah, I'm great, thanks!" She stuttered. My suspicions started to raise but I brushed it off. Maybe she forgot?
It was quiet for a little bit. I suddenly had second thoughts on this relationship. Were we even compatible? Last night I checked- my zodiac, Leo was compatible with hers, Cancer. But who knows? You can't always trust the internet. But maybe we were just shy?
"I'm- going to the bathroom.." Eyes uttered. It was quiet, but I could hear it easily.
"Alright, well I'll be at our usual table." I replied, as she ran down the hallway.

I headed over to my table, a bit startled at the sight of Eyes.
"Eyes! Weren't you in the bathroom?" I questioned.
"No? I was here the whole time waiting for you." Eyes looked very confused, and I could see concern in her eyes.
"But I saw you in the hallwa-"
"Doppelganger!" Eyes shrieked. "Maybe you were right, maybe we shou-"
"Calm down," I implied. "We'll sort this out. I'll text everyone to come to our table. Just stay calm, hon." I assured. Eyes nodded, but still looked concerned. I grabbed my phone and sent a text.

There. I hoped they would come. We had to do something or else....well...who knows?

5 mins later
"FINALLY! Okay, straight to the point." Eyes ordered me to tell everyone about the incident this morning. When I finished, everyone looked really scared which actually surprised me.
"So let me get this straight," Halt said, quite seriously. "You encounter ANOTHER doppelganger or something this morning.
"Yes, you got it straight." Eyes replied. "We have to do something. Maybe more and more might appear."
"But what DO we do?" Halt questioned. After that, it was silent. Everyones' thoughts were on the doppelgangers and how we could possibly stop them. I then remembered the note Helena gave me.
"Guys, I'll be right back. I have something that might help."
I ran down the hallway to where my dorm was supposed to be. My thoughts ran along with me. How were we supposed to stop them? Some sort of ritual or what? My thoughts were distracting me that I was already at my dorm by the time I finally finished thinking.

"Well, maybe you could ask her for advice?" Eyes implied, holding the burned smoky letter. "If she knows about this rumour, maybe she could help us?"
"She's all the way in Spain. Besides, she's duchess so she must be sooo busy. Who knows when she will write back? And when it will arrive?" Dupe replied. "What about the library?" Dupe asked.
"All the books there are boring and old, they're all about history, philosophy or chemistry. I've read books there before, I almost fell asleep. " Screech whined. "I'll fall asleep if I go back."
"You probably haven't checked the WHOLE library before," I implied. "We're going to the library, end of discussion."
"Since when did you get to boss us around?" Halt grumbled.
"Doesn't matter. We're going."

We finally reached the library.
The wooden doors with gold patterns on the borders. I wished out dorm rooms had that type of door. I put my hand on the cold, golden door knob and twisted it open. The room was filled with old, dusty books that looked half a century old.
"We'll split up. Eyes and Ambush, you two look around the further end of the hotel. Me and Screech will look around the right side and Rush and Halt will look around the left shelves." Dupe whispered.
"At least I get to be with my bbg." I whispered. Eyes smiled and laughed a little.
"Put HELPFUL books on the desk. Tell someone if you find anything." I instructed.
Everyone nodded, and we began out little hunt or whatever.

The whole place was covered in cobwebs and I expected to see Timothy on them. I didn't though. I was coughing from all the dust, and I half expected the dust to blind me. This library needed cleaning ASAP.
"You found anything?" Eyes asked.
"No....only books about philosophy, romance......the history of the hotel- hang on- that might be useful."
"Show me." Eyes ordered.
"Skim though the contents, we might find something related." I suggested.

"......The Rooms and Double trouble- Double trouble? That might be it!?" I said, feeling slightly relieved.
Eyes was already flicking through the pages, trying to get to page 102, where the chapter starts. She was flipping so fast, I was concerned she would rip a page out.
"Slow down hon!" I gasped.
"We have to save this hotel, we can't waste a minute." She replied, and continued flicking.
"I'll go get the oth-" A shout cut me off.
"Ambush? Eyes?" It sounded like Halt.
"Yeah?" I yelled back.
"We found something!"
"We found something too! It's actu-"
"No, just come up here."
"Why? Are you-"
"We found a locked door with a hole in it, and it looks like something is in there."
