The morning after Y/N's unforgettable birthday celebration was filled with groans and sighs of discomfort. As the sun began to cast its gentle light through the windows, it revealed a scene of Hashira who had overindulged in their celebration. Everyone, except Muichiro, had stayed the night, and the older Hashira had drunk until the early hours of the morning.
When Y/N stirred and gradually opened her eyes, she was met with a throbbing headache and a queasy stomach. Her groggy mind slowly registered the events of the previous night, the laughter, the heartfelt messages, and the endless toasts. She wasn't alone in her misery; the others were in a similar state.
"Anyone else hungover?" Y/N croaked, her voice raspy and filled with discomfort.
Obanai, who was lying next to her, turned to face her, his expression mirroring her pain. "We're all down for the count," he replied with a strained smile.
Y/N let out another groan as the ringing in her ears persisted. Slowly, she pushed herself up, her head throbbing with each movement. She knew that staying in bed was only prolonging the inevitable, so she forced herself to get up, albeit with a few more groans of pain.
With unsteady steps, Y/N made her way to the bathroom, her stomach churning unpleasantly. She leaned over the toilet, and the morning's first task was to rid her body of the remnants of the previous night's indulgence. She vomited a few times before finally managing to wash up, feeling slightly better afterward.
Determined to shake off the hangover and get on with the day, Y/N returned to the kitchen. Despite her pounding head and queasy stomach, she donned her apron and set to work on preparing a light breakfast. She knew that a simple meal would do wonders for the group's recovery.
As she worked, Mitsuri couldn't help but express her amazement. "How are you awake and functioning? Don't you feel sick?"
Y/N chuckled weakly, a hint of pain in her expression. "I feel like I'm going to throw up any second, but someone has to make breakfast for this bunch."
With resilience and determination, Y/N continued to cook, hoping that a hearty breakfast would help soothe the hangovers of the Hashira. Despite their discomfort, they couldn't help but appreciate her dedication and the care she put into looking after them, even on the toughest of mornings.
