Chapter 31: Roles and Responsibilities

As Y/N woke up, she found herself surrounded by the Hashira, Tanjiro, and Nezuko, all deep in conversation with Obanai. She couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed by the emotional outburst from earlier, but she also felt grateful for their understanding and support.

"Obanai?" Y/N called out, her voice still carrying the remnants of sleep.

Obanai turned his attention to her, his eyes softening at the sight of her. "Yes, Y/N?"

"Come cuddle with me. I'm lonely," Y/N said in a tired, whiny voice.

Obanai chuckled, but he glanced at the others, considering their presence. "But we have guests, Y/N, and I think this is the best time to decide everyone's roles in our wedding."

Y/N nodded, realizing he was right. It was time to plan their special day. She smiled warmly at Obanai, showing her understanding, then turned her attention to their guests.

"Alright, everyone," she began, "let's decide on our roles for the wedding. I want each of you to be a part of our celebration."

The Hashira and the Kamado siblings listened attentively, eager to contribute to the couple's happiness.

Sanemi, known for his straightforwardness, spoke first. "I'll be your best man."

Obanai nodded in agreement, appreciating his friend's support. "That sounds good."

Mitsuri, her eyes sparkling with excitement, chimed in, "I'd love to be your maid of honor, Y/N!"

Y/N's heart warmed at Mitsuri's enthusiasm. "Thank you, Mitsuri. I'd be honored."

Giyuu, who often had a reserved demeanor, spoke quietly but with sincerity. "I'll be the ring bearer."

Obanai glanced at Giyuu and nodded appreciatively. "Thank you, Giyuu."

Shinobu, her expression gentle, offered, "I can help with the flower arrangements. And, Y/N, I'd be happy to help you get ready."

Y/N smiled at Shinobu's kindness. "That would be wonderful. Thank you, Shinobu."

Kyojuro, his enthusiasm uncontainable, exclaimed, "I'll be in charge of the music and entertainment. We'll have the best celebration ever!"

Y/N and Obanai laughed at Kyojuro's boundless energy. "We're looking forward to it, Kyojuro."

Tengen, always flamboyant, declared, "I'll help with the decorations. We'll make it a grand affair!"

Obanai smirked, knowing Tengen's flair for extravagance would make the wedding unforgettable. "Sounds perfect, Tengen."

Muichiro, who was typically soft-spoken, offered, "I'll take care of the seating arrangements. I'll make sure everyone's comfortable."

Y/N and Obanai nodded in appreciation of Muichiro's thoughtfulness. "Thank you, Muichiro."

As roles were assigned, it became clear that everyone was eager to contribute to the couple's special day. However, one important role was still unassigned—the person who would walk Y/N down the aisle.

Obanai, with a gentle smile, spoke up. "I think it's only fitting that Rengoku walks you down the aisle, Y/N. He'll represent your family on this special day."

Y/N's eyes welled up with tears of gratitude. "Thank you, Obanai. I couldn't have asked for a better family than the one I've found with you and these wonderful people."
