4 : Chapter 1

A few months after the battle in Chicago, the government turned their back towards us. They broke our alliance with NEST and the military. They made their own hunter groups, such as KSI, to hunt us down. We might have saved the world, but all people see, is that little destruction in Chicago. I don't blame them though. Most people aren't told the full things on what was going on back then, merely the surface of the whole incident. The autobots have broken, and is now into hiding. On the run from humans and cons alike. This is just the start. And most of us, isn't going to come back in one piece... A few of our teammates have been hunted down and killed. For Primus knows what. Sideswipe... Dino.. Their life signals have gone offline a few weeks ago. They got nearly all the dead bodies of our fellow Cybertronians. And they still aren't stopping yet.

We have gone alone now. Ratchet left with Dino, but he is still alive. Bee went with our new team members, Hound and Crosshairs. Sideswipe was with Drift, but only Drift was left now. I went with Optimus, to no one's surprise. He is the biggest target after all, and I am the Guardian of the Primes. As explained by the Primes at least. For now, we're doing nothing but hide in a small abandoned parking lot. I feel guilty for not being able to get out and help the others who's sacrificed their lives to keep our location safe. I feel Optimus having the same thoughts too. They haven't found us yet, but I have a feeling they soon will.

Communication with the bots have been fairly restricted recently. KSI is actively monitoring the radio. Any transmission would be caught by them, unless we use a different kind of wave length to communicate, which for now, isn't something all the bots have. Surprisingly it's been a whole week since we heard anything from KSI. I wouldn't be too relieved though. They could attack at any possible moment.

Optimus was pacing back and forth again, seemingly trapped in his thoughts. "Optimus, calm down. We'll find a way out of this" I told him. "I know... I'm just worried. I should be out there for the others, not hiding out!" He said angry at himself. "I know, I want to be out there too. But the team will break without you, Optimus" I told him again.

Optimus was about to reply when we suddenly heard shouting, lots of car engines, and gun shots pointed right towards the parking lot and the cars. They found us. We all started running our of the garage before transforming into our vehicle modes, but they were following very closely behind, and started shooting us. "We found the leader!" I heard someone call. I knocked a few of the cars off their wheels by simply hitting the back side of it.

Helicopters were close on our tails as they keep shooting us. a few of them hit our frame, and it hurts a lot for such a little bullet. They were soon closing in, but then tanks showed up. Scrap. They shot towards us, but we didn't have any time to dodge. One of them hit Optimus and he started to leak energon. I heard him grunt as his wheels started to give way.

There was a little city not too far ahead. We can't let KSI go there. "Optimus, Go!" I shouted, before transforming into a bot and shot the cars and helicopters. Most of them were put out easily, but some were very good drivers. I transformed into a dragon and gave a loud roar at the helicopters, and it blew off their engines. I used my tail to slam the cars, and flew low towards the tanks and cut them off with my wing. But a few shots were shot towards me as I dove in, and they hit the weak spots where my scales break off easily. I let out a little screech as I fell and rolled to an open field.

Energon was leaking from all around my body, and I was sure going to be picked up by the next line of KSI team once they knew. I looked up to search for Optimus, but he had already gone. I hope he'll be alright. I looked at the KSI members and made sure there were no humans, before transforming into my human form. I had lots of scars and wounds around me, but I still managed to limp out of the site. I was now loosing too much blood, and this summer heat was dreadfull.

I reached a garage, sort of. A house in the middle of no where. I groaned as I walk to a tree and fell down. The blood I've lost is just too much, and the pain was worse. I just hoped Optimus and the others will be okay... And.. that I... Will... Be.. Able to... See... Them... Again............................

I opened my eyes slowly. The light was blinding. Not again... When my eyes adjusted, I kinda expected to see a metal world, but instead... I was on a bed. I sat up slowly, and groaned as the pain in my body just shot back. Yep, definitely not dead.

I looked around at the place. Next to me was a small bedside desk and there were some shelves and drawers around the room. The window in front of me was quite big, and it let a lot of light in. I looked at myself and saw that I was covered in bandages that were staining with blood. Huh... How did I get here? I can't remember much.

I heard someone talking from the door. "Tessa, can you check on our guest?" A man's voice said. "Yes dad" I heard a young girl's voice replied. Footsteps were heard coming closer and the door opens. Revealing a young girl with blonde hair. She looked a little surprised when she saw me up, and quickly called the man "Dad! She's awake!".

Not long after that, a brown haired man came running up to the room. He looked like he was in his early 30s, and the girl looks just under 15. "W-where am I?" My neck was really dry, but I managed to cough a few words out. "You're in our house. Yaeger's Machines. We found you in our yard, injured" he explained. Then everything came back to me. "Optimus!" I coughed, but it was barely audible. I tried to get out of the bed and stood up. But I was too weak and quickly fell down again. Cade caught me, before I drop myself on all fours on the floor.

"Careful, you're still too weak" The man said. "I-I need to - get to my friends" I said in a raspy, dry, voice and tried to get up again. But failed, and sat on the bed. "Tess, get her some water" The man told the blonde. She nodded and ran out of the room.

The man walked a little closer to me. "If your friends did survive then, they wouldn't now. You're out for a whole week" He said. "A week?!" I asked surprised, but coughed really badly after that. Luckily, Tessa I think, came back with a glass of water and gave it to me. I drank it quickly. It sure helped clear my throat.

I breathed slowly and looked out the window before sighing. Wherever Optimus might be, I just hope he's safe. "Is there someone you went with?" The man asked. "Just, and old friend of mine. I hope he's safe" I replied sadly. "I'm sure he will be fine" The man told me. I looked at him and gave a faint smile. "I'm Cade Yaeger, by the way. This is my daughter, Tessa Yaeger" Cade introduced themselves. "I'm Hana. Hana Ryu" I told them.

"So, how old are you both?" I asked. "I'm 34" Cade said. "I'm 12" Tessa replied. "You?". "21" I said. "Damn, you look like you're 15" Cade said surprised. "I'll take that as a compliment" I chuckled.

So we got to know each other better, and it looks like I'm staying here, because I have to hide, and being with my family, is not a safe place, for me, or them..
