In a world filled with superheroes, each possessing unique powers, Octavia stood out due to her ability to amplify the abilities of others. However, her struggles with ADHD made it difficult for her to focus, causing her power to waver; Octavia's powers were not very useful or effective if she couldn't focus and that's exactly what she couldn't do. Finneas, the brother of the not-so-famous superhero Billie, and Claudia, Finneas' girlfriend, were intrigued by this enigmatic power and decided to test its limits.
In the secret lab hidden away from the bustling city, a cosy atmosphere enveloped the room. Claudia, her emerald eyes hidden behind glasses, was surrounded by stacks of books and research materials, delving into the intricacies of people with powers similar to Octavia's and ADHD. Meanwhile, Finneas, with his ginger hair and well-kept beard but unruly hair, sat across from Octavia, who appeared frustrated and disheartened.
"Come on, Octavia, you've got to focus," Finneas urged, his voice gentle yet determined. "We're making progress, but we need you to stay with us."
Octavia sighed, running a hand through her hair in frustration. "I'm trying, Finneas, I really am. But it's like my mind's on a rollercoaster, and I can't control it."
Claudia, engrossed in her research, chimed in, "I think I've found something interesting here. There are documented cases of powers similar to Octavia's, and many of them struggled with focus and attention issues."
Finneas leaned forward, intrigued. "That's a good lead, Claudia. Keep digging. We might be onto a breakthrough."
Just as the trio continued their research and experimentation, the door to the lab creaked open quietly. Billie, her black messy hair framing her face, cautiously stepped inside. She didn't want to disrupt the peace that had settled in the room, but she had her own agenda—she wanted her powers back. Finneas had temporarily taken them from her to make her clean up after her last massive fight.
Billie's presence went unnoticed at first as Finneas turned his attention back to Octavia. "Alright, Octavia, one more time. Focus on the books on the shelf, just like we practised."
Octavia nodded, her brow furrowing in concentration. She stared at the books, trying to ignore the incessant thoughts racing through her mind.
But then, something changed. Finneas couldn't help but notice that Octavia's gaze had shifted, not to the books, but to Billie, who stood silently near the entrance. Octavia was focusing on something for more than three seconds—an impressive feat for her.
"Wait a minute," Finneas said, his eyes widening as he turned to look at Billie.
Billie bit her lip, torn between the desire to regain her powers and the need to let Octavia succeed. She stepped forward, hesitant. "Vee, I didn't mean to interrupt. I just..."
Octavia's gaze remained locked onto Billie, and her power surged, reacting to the presence of her girlfriend. It was as if Billie held the key to unlocking Octavia's focus.
Claudia, now intrigued by this unexpected development, set her research aside. "Finneas, this could be it. Billie might be the key to helping Octavia harness her power."
Finneas nodded, a mix of excitement and relief washing over him. "Billie, stay right there. Octavia, keep your eyes on her."
The room was filled with a newfound sense of hope as they realized they had stumbled upon the solution to Octavia's struggles. With Billie as the focal point, Octavia's power held the potential to become an invaluable asset in a world of superheroes and abilities.
