"Wake up sleepy heads," Aspen said, smiling at Winston in my head. "We have a journey to the next mark for you three. Dont worry its only a slight detour and it's not a mountain i have gotten some parkas for this next journey and there in your backpack"

"So we need to get our mark for the snow?" I said getting up to grab my boots and to go to the bathroom to change.

"Yes and the darkwolf will be the one who uses the power but you still need it" Aspen said "now get up before breakfast is over" he said looking at Rose and Julia. Rose who had finally come home early this morning.

"I don't feel good, '' Rose said, cringing as she tried to get up.

"Me neither," Julia said, getting up with a dizzy expression.

"Maybe you shouldn't have gotten drunk last night then?"

"Did we really drink that much?" Rose said

"Sadly," Julia said. I came back out all changed and then put winston on my back

"Me and Winston are getting breakfast"

"I already had some" he whines

"Don't you want some of mine?"

"Yes!" We walked down the stairs to the cafeteria. They were serving cheap pancakes and orange juice today, oatmeal and cereal, bagels and muffins. It smelled good even though I knew the food wouldn't be that good. I grabbed everything I was so hungry from the night before. We hadn't gotten anything last night and the last meal I had was raw meat.

"Mmm" Winston said, eating up some of my food. I rubbed his hair and then ate with gusto. It was better than I expected, mostly because I was hungry.

"I got them up" Aspen said guiding Rose and julia to the table "i'll get them some food"

"I'll help!" Winston said excitedly.

"I was so stupid, we drank way too much last night my dad would be so disappointed in me" Julia said. I looked at her and simply smiled

"Now you know not to do it ever again, right?" I put my hand on her shoulder and she nodded.

"Yeah I just wanted to do something stupid for a minute you know?" Julia said "i didn't want to be the hero this time i wanted to be stupid"

"Well you accomplished a normal teen thing" i chuckled "many teens get drunk but don't do that again because Rose could have died last night"

"Im fine now" Rose said "my mom would be pretty mad at me too"

My mom would have been mad at me if i did that. I looked at my food and continued eating. Winston and Aspen got back pretty quickly, giving them their food and then going to get some more to sneak into our bags. They stole bags of oats, plain cereal and some other nonperishables.

"Hey i wanted to catch you before you guys left" it was Craang he had a small backpack in his hand "this is for all of you" i opened the back and it had big bags of rice and oats" Aspen and Winston came back over there backpack filled.

"Thank you so much Craang, we'll miss you" Julia said, hugging him. I saw Aspen, was it anger or jealousy in his eyes, i couldn't really tell i went to hug Craang

Aspen looked angry but didn't try to show it. He smiled again and I changed to my wolf form. As did everyone else. Winston got on the small horse. He looked at me in awe, since he didn't have his wolf form in order yet he had to ride the horse the remainder of the journey. We started at a trot

"Which are we going to Aspen?" I said trotting beside him. The wind was surrounding me. The trees broke away as the fields of grass tickled my paws.

Wait, these are great berry fields. Julia said, looking at Aspen. were going to the snow regions.

"It is close to the Dark Wolves, it's only a slight detour." Aspen said as he ran ahead of me. I could tell that Rose and Julia were not running to their full potential. Winston was the slowest he was in a gallop, and maybe it was good we were not at top speed yet.

I smell dark wolves. Julia growled. Ugh, I hate them so much.

Dont worry ill hurt Hugo if he goes near you. Aspen teased.

I can do it myself but can you help? Julia smiled and ran faster than Aspen. Rose and Julia ran way up ahead running around and playing.

Okay but when we get to Darkwolf territory we must be careful and quiet. Aspen growled

We don't have to worry, Dark Wolves are scared of Bloodwolves aren't they? Rose said panting playfully. The field had purple flowers that looked pretty poisonous. They made a kind of a maze.

Stop! I howled when everyone stopped Rose right about to trample the flowers you said were great berry fields right?

Yeah?

Well, great berry fields have a maze of berries. It's not berry season; they are flowers, but that wouldn't matter because the plants have poisonous thorns. I said looking at the flower.

"What's wrong?" Winston said. I looked at him and slowly changed as did the others.

"These are poisonous." i said looking at Aspen who changed "we can't just trample on through"

"How do you even know that?" Rose said, looking at them. She was now human. I saw a purple stain on her leg just then she fell back onto the ground.

"Rose!" Aspen yelled running to her. He pulled her away from the flowers and tried to check her leg.

"Here take this,"I said, shaking my head. "I got it at the market, it's an antitoxin.'' I poured the gloop into my hands and put it over the wound. It was a small poke.

Julia was gone. I couldn't see her anywhere. I looked around and saw a rustling in the bushes

"Keep pressure on the wound," I said , looking at Aspen.
