Chapter 16

Finally another good sized chapter.

Pov Anala

I woke up in a white place. There were lots of furs underneath and over my body. I got up and the cold hit me as soon as the blanket slipped.

"She's awake!" Julia and Rose said, running into the room. I looked up at them and they were covered in fur coats. I smiled and hugged them each.

"Anala it's cold, can we go home?" WInston whimpered from the doorway.

"Should have thought about that before sneaking off after me, shouldn't you have?" I teased as he came over to hug me. I kissed his forehead and grabbed a coat from the hook before putting it on. I also wore one of the snow pants. The yetis lent us these.

"The yetis?" I said looking around as I now realize where exactly we were. "You carried me all this way?" I asked , looking at them and they nodded.

"I help too" Julia and Rose chuckled

"yeah well we knew you needed warmth and help and we had to rush" Julia avoided

"Tomorowo were doing the trial!" Rose exclaimed. She was jumping up and down

"It apparently is only difficult because of the wind and since we knew you needed rest we will rush to do it tomorrow."

"It's going to be so fun it requires skiing down a tunnel that was built Ages ago and dodging obstacles. Very dangerous but that's why I'm so excited." Rose said "Aspen's teaching us the basics in a few minutes. If you want, you should join us."

"Aspen knows all the snow, he knows how to go down snow, how to go up snow, how to run in snow," Winston said, smiling on the blankets.

"I bet, yeah I need to join in, I've never skied in my life!" i said looking at them petrified

"We did a bit this morning. It was fun. You can also sled down but that's for more mastery type things because of how the turns are. You have to dodge obstacles" Rose said smiling

She dragged me up the hill to where Aspen and Julia were. I looked at them closely. They were both smiling in some way that made me uncomfortable. Aspen had his hand on her hands showing her some tips on how to ski. Then she was off. She dodged several boulders that must have been set in her way by the yetis and she didn't fall while on the hill.

While Julia was heading back up Aspen let Rose go. She did the same a bit clumsier however. She almost fell a bit but she made it down the hill. She followed Julia coming up.

"Okay so here's yours" he said, giving me a pair of ski boots. He helped me with them since I had no way to work it and gave me a ski helmet. He taught me how to simply walk before taking me to a less steep slope behind him. He helped me up.

"Bend your knees while you're doing this and keep your feet parallel to each other. Don't do any turns this time. He said as he skied down the short slope. I saw his knees bent. And did the same and then let myself go down. Fear tried over taking me but that's when Hannah kind of took over helping me to force myself. When i was sliding the snow was smooth i almost stumbled but this had definitely helped.

"You are doing amazing" Aspe exclaimed when I got down.

"Thank you"

"Tomorrow we can do this" Aspen looked at me curiously, maybe wondering what I was thinking. I nodded but didn't say anything. "Look Julia and Rose are back" he sighed gratefully as the awkward conversation died.

"Anala you did amazing for your first time" Julia assured

"Yeah I fell when I did that earlier."

"We learned so much in one day. I can't even believe it. Maybe it's because Aspen is like the best teacher ever," Julia joked. She hugged him.
