Chapter 13

Sorry for the lack of posting, now to get to the story eh?

Breakfast the next morning was fast and simple and Aspen decided to wait until night to continue much farther so we did some heavy training sessions even Winston joined in for the fun of it. He learned to have fur and a wagging tail but not much else. As for us , we learned some sword moves and some attacks. I learned different defenses and we even tried them on eachother not allowed to make a scratch of course.

In the afternoon the heavy training was done so we could have lunch and get sleep for the journey at midnight. Even though the morning training was mostly to wear us out I knew I had actually become stronger and felt more prepared if the dark wolves found us. We probably wouldn't beat them though because of the way the group was.

"Anala!" Aspen called as I ran over. "You did great in training today"

"Thank you"

"We have two options for Winston and remember i'm just trying to look out for him but he could either stay here and wait for us to come back which might take a week or two, and he could starve if he's not responsible, or he could go with us which could butcher the mission and if it goes badly get us all killed. "I looked at him stunned. Why did he think I was going to leave WInston behind?

"He should come. WInston can be sneaky and I will make sure he knows to stay away from battles."

"In that case he needs to learn to get the wolf controlled. I want to leave the horse here. It could make noise and cause danger to the team." Aspen said as i nodded

Winston and Aspen did some more training together as Aspen told him to concentrate on the wolf. I fed the horse and brushed his coat. Grooming his feet and giving him plenty of food.

"He will just eat the grass when he's hungry we will give him plenty of lead so he can eat around, not too much were he could get into the flowers.'' I smiled as Rose comforted me about the horse.

"We don't need him when Winston learns his wolf form '' I said.

"Yeah but we have to take him back" Rose smiles like she knew none of the shit that happened yesterday.

Yeah." I said , looking at the path ahead. When Winston came back he was a blood red wolf with small black ears and feet. His tail was wagging and I smiled.

"We can go, he can sort of control it," Aspen said, looking at Winston like he was a proud father.

I nodded at him.the fur prickled through my skin i got on all four paws and my snout popped from my head.

Aspen and the others changed as quickly as I had and we walked to the woods down the hill. We hid our scent in the mud and got into the forest. Being careful to not draw attention to ourselves. A small river caressed the banks and my paws.

Remember it's the river we were at when going to the wind wolves. Aspen tried

Eh there were many rivers. Julia said.

We crossed the small river and gulped up some water. Aspen led the way in a run but Julia took the lead, still being cautious and pulling back when she heard a noise. Rose was beside me as I helped her get forward. We could trot by her leaning against me for support. That's why Aspen was slower and Winston was right in front of me.

Julia kept ahead till we got to a stopping point. Aspen wanted the first watch and so he got it. We tried staying warm in the snow by bundling together but the blankets got snow in them.
