It felt heavenly to say the least and Crowley didn't think he could ever get enough of it. 

But before he could even begin to kiss back, Aziraphale was pulling away. 

Crowley felt empty, it was almost like when Azi's lips were on his he was complete. Like that's how it is supposed to be. Azi and Crowley...together.

(Meanwhile)

Azi was panicking. He just accidently kissed his best friend. Not that he didn't enjoy it, he definitely did. But he knew that Crowley didn't return that feeling so he needed to get out of there before he could face Crowley.

Crowley wasn't responding to the kiss. Azi feared he read the situation wrong.

I mean Crowley did say that it was him but maybe he didn't want to still. He could be disgusted by the fact that its Azi.

He knew that Crowley would yell at him and be disgusted by him. So he pulled away. 

And started to run away

That's when Crowley's brain caught up with what was going on.

"Azi..."

"I-I gotta go" Azi said, tears threatening to spill.

"No don't you go" Crowley choked out.

"N-no I need to go"

"Dammit Azi you can't just kiss me and then runaway right after I admitted I love you" Crowley said fearfully.

This is not he had dreamed this moment went. Crowley had always imagined that if this ever did happen. They wouldn't be crying and fearful. He hoped it would be happier.

Azi was almost full on crying at this point. So was Crowley. And Crowley wished more than anything to wipe those tears off of his divine face. 

Azi was conflicted. Sure Crowley backhandedly admitted he was in love with Azi but that could mean anything.

Maybe he even said it just to shut him up.

"D-did you mean it" Azi whispered fearfully. Perhaps too quiet.

Meanwhile Crowley was panicking. Accidently admitting your in love with your best friend to said friend then getting kissed by said friend now said friend running away was not doing great for Crowley's nerve. 

Crowley wondered what Azi was feeling. Obviously Azi was confused after just breaking up with Cody. Maybe he just saw Crowley as a rebound or back up. 

That hurt but then he heard Azi again.

"Crowley"

"yea"

"Did you"

"Did I what"

"Mean it" 

Crowley could lie, maybe make up an excuse that he was just trying to get Azi to be quiet. But he knew he couldn't. It was too late. He had to finally come clean.

"Yes" He affirmed.

"Y-You love me" Azi said seemingly in shock.

"Yea" Crowley said feeling like he wanted to throw up.

"T-then why didn't you kiss back?" Azi asked.

"Well I guess I was in shock because of all things I expected to happen tonight, you kissing me was not one of them" Crowley said slightly dazed at the memory of Azi's soft lips perfectly molded to his.

"Oh"

"yea"

Azi was ecstatic. Crowley actually loved him back. His dream had come true. Maybe it had been there all along and they were just to oblivious to notice but he didn't care. The only thing that mattered right now was them.

They stood in silence for a minute before Crowley spoke up again, taking off his glasses at the same time. 

"W-why did you kiss me?" 

That was the thing Crowley couldn't quite wrap his head around.

"Because I-" Azi started.

He could do this. He looked into Crowley's beautiful eyes and could see pure love. 

Azi steeled himself with a deep breath, 

"Because I love you too Crowley. Have almost since we met" He admitted with a sheepish grin. 

Crowley too broke into a large grin at the words.

He was so over come by emotions to speak but he could still do things.

So he kissed Azi.

This time it was perfect.

They stood there in dark park in the middle of the night. Kissing each other as if the other were the air they needed to breath.

And in the distance you hear the singing of a nightingale.

This is shorter than I wanted but oh well. Right now it's looking like this is gonna have 31 chapters(though that is subject to change). Would you guys like a sequel though? And/or A Rose/John spin-off?? Let me know!!
