Title: Everyday by Buddy Holly

"Ok what should we do?" Bee asked Gabriel as they walked back to his house.

"Hm I'm- I'm not sure yet but I will figure something out" Gabe said in response and Bee just did a soft hm.

They walked in silence the rest of the way back to the house. 

Bee thought Gabe was formulating a plan about how to set up the two oblivious twats but Gabriel had other ideas.

In his mind his keep thinking of ways to confess his love for Bee. He has been in love with them since they met in 9th grade. He had been meaning to bring it up but he didn't want it to ruin their friendship, but if he didn't say something it was going to ruin him.

They paced a record shop and they could hear faint music in the background, Everyday by Buddy Holly. 

Gabe knew this was the moment, this was their song. 

(Freshman Homecoming Dance)

He didn't want to be here, he was new to this school and barely knew anybody yet and he was stuck in a crowded gym full of mean teenagers and loud music.

He was beginning to feel very overwhelmed and he wanted to cry, or leave but he couldn't so he decided to go to a desolate hallway and just go on his phone.

However as he approached the hallway in question he could hear faint sobs. He froze, someone clearly needed help but he didn't know them nevertheless he walked down the hallway and was soon face to face with a kid, probably about his age. The kid had short black hair and was wearing a nice black suit.

Gabe thought this kid looked pretty and he didn't know what else to do, so he sat down next to them.

The kid looked up surprised and Gabe spoke up

"Are you ok? I mean you don't have to answer but I thought I heard crying and I just wanted to make sure you were ok, I'm Gabriel by the way" He said with a shy smile.

This made the kid smile.

"I'm Beelzebub, but you can call me Bee" 

"Well hello Bee" they lapsed back into silence for awhile however Bee broke it eventually.

"I-I had a date but when they saw I came in a suit they started making fun of me and left me" Bee finally confessed.

"I am so sorry he sounds like an asshole." 

"Oh he was he wouldn't even use my preferred pronouns but I guess I wanted to see the good in him" They smiled sadly.

"May I ask what are your pronouns" Gabe asks.

"They/them, thanks for asking"

"Ok then" Gabe smiles at them.

'Wait why were you coming down this hallway anyway" Bee asks after a moment.

"Oh I don't really have any friends here and I was getting really overwhelmed in there" He motions back to the gym.

"Well we can't have that can we, I'm now your friend." Bee says smiling at him.

This causes Gabe to smile, damn he was whipped already.

"And I'll introduce you to my friend group, I'm sure they will like you too" With that they grab Gabe's hand and run back into the gym.

Gabe couldn't stop thinking of Bee all night, especially when a certain song came on.

"Oh my this is my favorite song!" Bee exclaims grabbing Gabe's hand and running to the dance floor, where they danced for the rest of the song.

That night Gabe listened to that song on repeat.

(Present Day)

"Gabe its Everyday" Bee stops in their tracks to listen to the song.

All Gabe does and smiles as he collects himself to have this conversation. 

"Bee I have something to tell you" Gabe says and Bee realizes it's something serious.

"Gabe you can tell me anything remember we're best friends" Bee says putting a comforting hand on Gabe's shoulder.

"That's exactly why it's hard to say this" Gabe says getting increasingly more nervous.

This stuns Bee but he pushes on.

"Bee, you have been my best friend ever since that damn dance in 9th grade, an-and ever since then we have been you know great friends bu-but I-I want to be more."

Gabe pauses for a moment.

"Bee I'm in love with you and I have been ever since that dance and I-I know you probably don't feel the same and I don't want this to ruin our friendship bu-"

Bee cuts him off by grabbing his face and pulling him in for a kiss. Gabe is frozen for a second before he eagerly returns the kiss.

Bee eventually pulls back and says, "I love you too you idiot" and with that they start kissing again.

So there they stood, in front of an old record shop with the sounds of Buddy Holly playing softly in the background

Love like yours will surely come my way...
