Deja Vu

Title: Deja Vu by Olivia Rodrigo 

"Hey where did Crowley and Azi go?" Muriel asked walking over towards the group.

They all looked around but couldn't see them.

"Bee and I can go look, right love?" Gabe asked looking at his partner

"Course we can how about we find Cody and maybe he will know where Azi and we can go from there" 

Everyone agreed it sounded like a plan.

"come on" Bee said grabbing Gabe's arm and dragging him around.

Gabe was mindlessly following, more focused on Bee than on finding his cousin.

Then he heard something that made him stop in his tracks. 

Everyday by Buddy Holly

And suddenly he was back at freshman homecoming

(Flashback from Freshman Homecoming)

"Oh my this is my favorite song!" Bee exclaims grabbing Gabe's arm and pulling him to the dance floor.

Gabe acted reluctant but in reality he wanted to spending more time 

with them. Gabe was intriqued. As the song progresses Gabe was more and more entranced by Bee. He wanted to kiss them.

He was confused though.

Previously he was always interested in girls and exclusively girls.

But something about Bee was different. Gabe thought they were the most beautiful person on Earth and didn't care if they were a girl. Suddenly he found that he wasn't into girls.

He was into Bee.

And he was more than ok with that. 

But would Bee like him.

No, he thought, they are probably into much more interesting people.

Not your basic guy like Gabe.

Still Gabe danced along to the song with Bee and figured 'at least we can be friends'

(Present Day)

"Gabe come on we need to find Azi" Bee said irritated with Gabe. 

Gabe said nothing just grinned and sauntered over to Bee. 

"W-what are you doing" They asked intrigued.

"It's our song" Gabe said smiling reaching for Bee's hands.

(Another Flashback to that freshman dance)

As Bee walked into their freshman homecoming in their brand new black suit, they felt great. They had a cute boy as a date, they felt handsome and confident. 

That all came crashing down when they saw their date's face.

Marshall Jackson, the kid they have liked since 5th grade. He finally asked them to the dance after waiting for years. Bee still had long Black hair, which Marshall said he liked. So they kept it for him. But Bee decided to wear a suit.

Apparently their date did not approve.

"What the fuck are you wearing" he bellowed.

Bee slightly cowarded but remained firm. 

"Uh A suit" 

"Oh for the last time Bee, you are a girl, why don't you act like one. Just ugh I don't know why I even asked you to this stupid dance just get away from me." And he stormed off.

Bee started to cry and quickly ran away to a secluded hallway.

Until a pudgy little boy came up to them.

Bee was whipped for him since then.

(Present Day)

"But Azi" Bee said conflicted. 

"Oh he can wait I'm sure he's making out with Crowley or some shit like that but this song is for us."

And suddenly their resolve crumbled under the whistful gaze of their boyfriend

He grabs their hands and yanks them in to dance. 

Then for the rest of the song they sway back forth in eachother's arms to the music. 

"I love you" Gabe whispered softly.

"I love you too" 

Love like yours will surely come my way

After the song ended, Bee decided they did need to find Azi.

"Come on Gabe, it doesn't hurt anyone just to check on him" 

"Fine" 

They ran into Cody

"hey Cody" Gabe called out

"What" He snarled.

"Have you seen Azi?"

"Well no, not since we broke up" He gnarls out.

"Oh" Both Bee and Gabe said in unison.

"Thanks though" Bee said and they walked away. 

They eventually found themselves outside and began to walk out a bit. 

"Wow they finally broke up" Bee said 

"Took them long enough...you know I never really liked Cody I think he wa-" gabe said but was quickly cut off by Bee shushing him.

"What?" 

"Look" They said and pointed near the river

And there under the dark of night was two best friends finally kissing each other.

"I think we should go" Gabe whispered.

Bee agreed and they both left. 

Then as they left they high fived.
