Can you keep a secret?

"You won't be here after I tell you the truth."

"Kahit ano pa yan, ipapangako ko sayo na hindi ako aalis sa tabi mo. I'll stay here by your side like I always do mylove." I said as I stare at her lovingly.

Itinaas ko ang kamay niya sa may labi ko at marahan iyong hinalikan.

Mas lalong tumulo ang luha sa kaniyang mga mata.

"After all these years...I still don't deserve you." She said with a shaky voice.

"No. Don't say tha--"

"Do you not wonder why I never came back to you? Because I know that until now, I still don't deserve you."

Hindi ako nakaimik at nanatili lang na nakikinig sa kaniya.

"What are---No...I mean..." Tumigil ako at sinuri ang mukha niya, tila nagugulohan sa kung anong ipinapahiwatig niya.

She nods her head at me as her tears fall from her eyes again.

"Yes...I remember. I always remember, I just pretended that I didn't because I wanted to forget. I needed to forget." Lumayo siya sa akin at nag punas ng luhang lumandas sa kaniyang mga pisnge.

"Now tell me, can you still stay with someone like me?" She asked and laughed dryly. "Because I'm sure as hell won't stay for myself."

"I will." Walang pag dadalawang isip kong sagot na ikinagulat niya.

"What? Are you insane? I lied to you. I made you believe that I don't know anything. I deceived you. How can you say that you will stay after all of that?"

I smile as I stare at her beautiful eyes staring back at me.

"Because I love you. No matter what you do, no matter what happens, I will always...always, love you. Nothing could change that."
