Chapter 8

Shawn's POV
August 8, 2015

I woke up this morning thinking about yesterday and the great time I had with Jadyn, but I was interrupted by my phone making a chime. I saw it was a text from Jadyn:

Jadyn😍🎵-Happy Birthday best friend!! I hope you have an amazing bday! 🎉🎁

Me-Omg I forgot it was my birthday😁. Thank you best friend!!😋

Jadyn😍🎵-You're welcome!! I got you a present and Idk if you wanted to come get it or if you wanted me to bring it to you.☺️

Me-I'll go to your house and get it and maybe we can hangout again today😀😃☺️.

Jadyn😍🎵-Okay!! Can you tell me what time your coming so I know when to get ready?

Me-Yea sure. I'll be there at 10:30😋.

Jadyn😍🎵-Okay see you then! Bye!

Me-Byez! ✌️

It was 9:30 now so I decided to get ready I put on a black t-shirt and my leather jacket with jeans and my black converse. It was 9:45 by the time I was done so I decided to watch a little TV before I leave to go to Jadyn's house.

Jadyn's POV

I woke up this morning and remembered it was Shawn's birthday so I texted him happy birthday and he said we should hang out again today at 10:30.

It was 9:30 so I got out of bed and got a shower and when I was done I got my outfit ready I picked out a floral dress, a white laced cardigan, leather sandals, a sun hat, and my sunglasses. Once I was dressed I put on basic makeup and it was only 10:00 so I went on my phone and I got a text from Haley:

Haley- Hey we should hangout tomorrow after school.

Me- Yes we should. What school do you go to?

Haley-Camden County High School

Me-Oh wow same. Why don't you me at the main doors when school is over 👍.

Haley-Okay! See you tomorrow.

That reminded me we start school tomorrow😭.

*Knock**Knock*

Omg I wasn't paying attention to the time it's 10:30😁. Well at least I wrapped his present. I ran to the front door and saw Shawn standing outside. He smiled once I opened the door and I gave him a hug and said, "Happy birthday!" Then I pulled him up to my bedroom and got the wrapped box and gave it to him. Once he opened it he looked really surprised. "Jadyn you didn't have to do this for me," he said holding up 2 Ed Sheeran concert tickets.

"Yes I did the day I went to your concert I had the best time of my life and I want you to have the best time of your life at the Ed Sheeran concert with whomever you choose." I responded back to him.

"You," he said and I gave him a very confused look.

Then he said, "I choose you to go with me to the concert."

"The concert is next weekend August 12th. When do you leave North Carolina?" I asked

"I'm leaving the week after that and my next concert is in Orlando, Flordia." He responded.

"Okay," I said happy he still has a lot of time here!

"So what do you want to do today?" Shawn asked.

"It's your Birthday why can't you pick," I said back,"because I am really bad at making decisions."

"Okay why don't we go to Chipotle and then the mall?" Shawn asked.

"Okay," I said happy with that decision.

Once we got our food and sat down Shawn got out his phone and took a picture of me eating and posted it on Instagram with the caption:

Lunch Date w/ the Best Friend @Jadyn_Mendes

I saw a ton of notifications on my phone saying things like: 'Are you guys dating?', 'I ship it!', and 'Awww'.

Once we were done eating we walked to the mall since it was really close.

When we walked into the mall Shawn walked right to Abercrombie and I followed him. We walked to the shirts and I saw Hayes over at the jeans so I told Shawn I would be right back and he said okay. I walked over to Hayes and said, "Hey!" He looked over at me with a look of sadness and anger and walked away. I wonder what his problem was but I just shook it off and walked back to Shawn and kept shopping.

Hayes' POV
I was at the mall trying to get my mind off of things. I guess I am mad at Jadyn for leaving me her REAL BEST FRIEND for Shawn. She hasn't talked to me since the concert. All she has been doing is hanging out with Shawn😤. I guess her and Shawn went to the mall too and she saw me at Abercrombie and came up to me with a huge smile on her face and said hi so I just walked away. I'm just so tired of this. Everyone hates me. All my friends leave me.
