Dhvani slowly gained consciousness, her eyelids heavy as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. The harsh, bright hospital lights stung her eyes, and she winced, struggling to remember how she had ended up here. A wave of panic ran through her veins as her foggy mind pieced together the parts of her memory, revealing the half truth - she was in a hospital.
With great effort, she attempted to push herself into a sitting position, but the nurse by her bedside gently but firmly urged her to lie back down.
"You should rest, ma'am. Your family is on their way," the nurse advised in a soothing tone, her hand providing a comforting support.
Her mind raced, questions spinning in her mind. Why was she in the hospital? What had happened to her? Her half memories refused to provide answers, leaving her in a state of anxious confusion.
Moments later, the door swung open, revealing her parents-in-law. Their faces beamed with joy, their eyes sparkling with happiness as they entered the room. Their smiles, so genuine and radiant.
However, it was the sight of her husband, Aaditya that shook her to core. His usual composure had given way to an expression of intense distress and concern. His mother understood, her warm chuckle carrying an understanding tone. "Of course, my dear. We won't disturb you. Enjoy your time together, share your happiness". she responded before both parents exited the room, leaving both of them alone.
