Chapter 5
Senior Year, Hemsworth International School
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
I tore out the paper posted on the bulletin board.
No, hindi mabuti yun! Kelangan kong gutay-gutaying yun!
"You don't want to do that Angel! Charice said.
I heaved a sigh. "But I should've won. If I know, dinaya niya ako. Hindi pwedeng mangyari 'to."
"Pero Angel, hindi ba't tinulungan ka pa nga ni Wes sa pagkakampaign the past two weeks? Kahit magkalaban kayo, he still extended his help." Sabi ni Rica.
"And besides," Charice started, "Hindi ba't malaki naitulong niya while acting as your Assistant President?
Hinigit ko yung braso ko from their grasp, "And you think dahil doon deserve na niya manalo?"
"Think on the brighter side, girl. You promised each other something didn't you?" sabi ni Rica.
Yeah, we did.
"Angela, since naman na wala na tayong hard feelings from the thought na magkakalaban tayo for presidency, why don't we make a vow?" Wesley had said.
"Whoever won, let's just promise na the unlucky one will be given a chance by the winner to be a part of the council. You know, kahit representative lang or advicer." he had suggested.
"But is that even allowed?" I had asked out of surprise.
"Syempre naman. Don't you know na as a president, you'll have the right to add a member to your council just as long as my reasons ka for doing so. Let's say katulad na lang if you need someone's advice. And not just someone ha. You'll need advice from someone who knows the ways of being a student officer."
"Sa sinasabi mong yan, para bang you're sure of your victory na and that you'd need me as an advicer." I had said, harsh and with no hint of humor.
"No, no, no. 'course not. Please don't think about it that way. I'm just making this easy for the two of us."
"Okay, it's a deal then." Sinabi ko with a smirk.
At that time, isang bagay lang naman nasa isip ko, I'll never let Wesley win.
