Chapter 17

Senior year.

After mag-confess ni Wes, kinontact ko si Ronald para sa kasunduan pero ploy lang ‘yon para mapaamin sya tungkol sa involvement ni Christian. Pinilit ko din sya na kelangan nya i-destroy lahat ng video bago ko ibigay ang hinihingi nya. Nag-plano kami kung paano paaminin si Christian. Pinanood din naming yung video galing kay Ronald at pinoint out yung mga detalye na nagpprove na fake ‘yon. Malakas ang case namin kaya naman sunod na namin pinag-usapan yung tactic para kay Chirstian.

“Ako na lang kakausap sa kanya Angela. We’ll see from there.” He said.

I know na sa pinakita ni Christian hindi sya madadala sa simpleng usapan lang, “Wes, I thought we’re in this together? Come on. I’ll call him tomorrow and we’ll both talk to him okay?”

“Sige. Tomorrow at lunch.” Wes said smiling. “Um, Angela, whatever happens, please remember what I said. Everything was true. I… I love you.”

I was stunned hearing Wes say it at this moment, although it’s not the first time, but it brought a big smile to my face. “I love you too Wesley.” I say.

Tumayo na ko and nilagay na yung CD sa inside pocket ng purse ko. “I’ll see you tomorrow.” I say and gave him a peck on the lips.

Wesley’s POV

Alam kong nag-promise ako kay Angela that we’ll do this together but Christian is too much. Hindi sya titigil hangga’t hindi sya nakakaganti kaya naman nang makauwi na si Angela, I went straight to Christian’s house to confront him.

“Christian,” I say nang buksan nya yung pinto. It took all my resolve not to punch him in the face.

“What a surprise Wes. What brought you here?”

“Alam nating pareho kung tungkol saan ‘to.”

Christian smiles knowingly. “I know Wes. You wanted to take things one step at a time and don’t worry, pumapayag na ko na bigyan ka ng isa pang linggo before you finally break Angela’s heart.”

He’s such a bastard. “That’s not why I’m here for. You’ve been threatening Angela. And for money? What game are you trying to play Christian?”

Tumawa si Christian sa sinabi ko na para bang biro lahat ng ‘to at sya lang ang tanging nakakaintindi. “I knew it Wesley boy. You’ve truly fallen for her. How stupid of you.”

“He’s not the same Angel you know.”

Humalakhak lang ulit si Christian.

“The deal’s off.” I say.

“Hmm. Let’s see where that’ll get you.”

Christian and I stared at each other na para bang inaantay kung sino ang una kikilos. Kung sino ang unang magiging bayolente, pero hindi ko kinagat ang pain nya. Instead, I turned my back and walk away.

I don’t care whatever consequence this might bring me. I’ve been playing his game for too long and it has got to stop.

Angela’s POV

Kinabukasan pag dating ko sa school, nagulat na lang ako ng may nagkukumpulang mga students sa may locker area, near sa location ng locker ko.

I maneuver through the crowd until I saw what they’ve been fussing about.

May nag-thrash ng isa sa mga lockers. At may nakasulat na WHORE in bold red dito.
